David Lowe is back on Mindshake after his label debut in 2024. It's another upbeat EP featuring three tracks, two of which are solo productions, and the third is a collaboration with Jenny C.

Opening with the EP's title track, "Sonic" has liquid textures and shuffling percussion intertwining with the namesake hip hop vocal sample.

Toolroom Trax’s very own Danny Rhys is back on the label he lives and breathes, but this time, he’s not flying solo. He’s teamed up with rising star Loz Seka and together they’ve worked up a peak time banger.

Now if you know anything about Toolroom, you’ll know Danny Rhys is more than just a producer. A&R for both Toolroom Trax and Strangelove, the producer behind Toolroom Radio, and Mark Knight’s Friday Night KISS show, one of the UK’s biggest radio stations. It was only a matter of time before these two came together, both sharing a passion for Latin and percussive rhythms that makes this collaboration feel very natural. You’ve also heard Loz Seka’s name across BBC Radio 1, with regular props from Arielle Free and BBC Introducing as he starts to become a household name on the station.

In The Club, the latest collaboration from Spanish producer TecHouzer and Mexican DJ Djahir Miranda, released on Crazy Nutz Music, represents a vibrant and refined statement of Tech House, crafted specifically for the club environment. TecHouzer, a veteran with over two decades in the electronic music scene, is known for his fresh and dancefloor-friendly style, boasting performances at iconic venues such as FABRIK, Groove, and Supercervecería de Radical in Madrid. His productions have featured on respected labels including Hotfingers, Klaphouse Records, Be One Records, and Tribal Kitchen, garnering support from established artists like UMEK, Fatima Hajji, DJ Oliver, and wAFF. Complementing this, Djahir Miranda, a seasoned Mexican producer and DJ with more than 18 years of experience, is distinguished by his accelerated style, deep basslines, percussive drops, and potent synthesizers. Initially influenced by Psytrance luminaries such as Astrix, Pixel, and Domestic, he expanded his horizons to Tech House, Minimal Techno, and Progressive Trance, releasing on labels like Hotfingers, Form Music, Taikkata Récords, and Matinée Music. Supported by artists including Mark Knight, Don Diablo, Popof, and Chris Lake, Djahir has performed at renowned venues including Café Olé, H2O, Pacha México, and WTC México, earning acclaim for his energy and charisma. The EP opens with In The Club, operating at a steady 128 BPM and set in the key of 1A. This track features a driving, dry, and precise kick drum that anchors the production, while crisp snares, clean hi-hats, and subtle tribal percussion weave a dynamic yet minimal groove that energizes without overwhelming. The bassline is fluid and warm, complementing the percussion perfectly. The female vocal repeatedly chants In The Club, treated with clarity and enveloping sound design, forming a hypnotic hook central to the tracks identity. Smart automation and modulation of percussive elements such as toms and rhythmic accents add subtle variations while maintaining a linear, DJ-friendly structure. The mix is clean and spacious with excellent stereo separation and controlled sidechain compression, allowing each element to breathe and contribute to the overall groove. Drawing influence from his love of the early 2000's Deep Tech-House scene and twisting it with todays more familiar feel of Dub, Minimal, Deeper edged Techno, Valpy manipulates sounds into what he feels is right for the darker clubs & dance floors, creating a sound that does not follow suit, bending a few 'rules' along the way...

Using his many Clubbing experiences over the years in the UK, Ibiza, Amsterdam & beyond, Valpy has developed a passion for raw emotion filled techno, often challenging the sub woofers with his bass heavy touch, without busting the bank on the tempo front. A balance of 'good vs evil' can often be witnessed in a Valpy Techno piece

Fascinated with pitch & bass, Valpy has moulded and evolved his sound into what he produces today, recently gaining support from Pig & Dan, Ramiro Lopez, Dubspeeka & Matt Minimal, who also contribute to the style & development of his tracks, along with Alan Fitzpatrick, Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati & Carlo Lio

Having had 2 EP's released on dubspeekas Skeleton Label and also with Seva Records, Plunk, Lethal Script & Berberris in 2014 alone, Valpy's sound has now been recognised by fast up and coming label Gain Records, (supported by the likes of Richie Hawtin) with a Solo Artist Album due for release in April 2015. There are also further releases on Skeleton and new outfit Kitchen Smoke pencilled in over the next couple of months too

To close, Valpy aims to produce music he wants to hear on the same dance floors that he frequented over the years, experimenting along the way to produce his own unique blend, with the odd twist & turn along the way...
