Trance duo Alex Sonata & TheRio present their fourth official release on Anjunabeats, ‘Cala Luna / The Real Thing’.

Alex Sonata & TheRio will be familiar to dance fans through their output on Enhanced and Armada Music. The duo have been collaborating since 2018, garnering praise from the likes of Gareth Emery, Cosmic Gate and Armin Van Buuren. After many collaborations, the Scottish/Italian pairing decided to make it official in 2020, and Alex Sonata & TheRio was born. 

Following appearances at the official Group Therapy 450 warm-up and afterparties plus our Night Tales London residency, Alex Sonata & TheRio now have two new tracks to share. To celebrate this release, the duo will be streaming from Porto Flavia in Sardinia via the Anjunabeats YouTube and Twitch channels on June 10.

Radikal Moodz (Maxime and Dominique) ,are the freshest new Psychedelic project from France. They began the project in 2016, however the sophistication of their sound seems to suggest they’ve been around for quite a while longer. Since 2016 they have released 2 E.P’s on Maharetta Records ( Spain) , plus a further 2 tracks on 2 separate Festival VA compilations. Before Radikal Moods, both of them gathered their skills and influences amongst some of the worlds biggest Psy festivals; Dom being known under the name of Dj Dooms as both a Dj and producer, and Max as a Progressive/ On project known as Beat Defenders . In mid 2017 they signed to Looney Moon Records (Italy) as part of the “new wave” of rising French producers like Earthworm, and are set to enjoy many years of every increasing success. Radikal Moodz deliver something both very rare and refreshing to the Global scene. Remaining pure in spirit to the classic Goa Psychedelic sound , whilst redefining the whole genre in such a modern way.

What I Would Do

Young sound-designer Alex Glushkov and cellist Alina Anufrienko
created in collaboration an album that reflects their perception of the world and reflections on the topic "how important is reality and what influence the imagination and subconscious have on us."

This first joint experience is an important step in combining two independent composing approaches - the approach to creating the music of an electronic musician and the work on finding material from the point of view of a neo-academic composer.

The album was born on the verge of mixing stylistic elements and the complete trust of two very different personalities.
