Here at Warm Up we continue in our search of valuable artists around the globe, and we have found Oliver Rosemann in this quest. Not every techno artist is capable of developing an album with sense and knowledge, Oliver is. He has been providing quality techno tracks for a long while from his homebase in Leipzig, with a particular sense of groove and rhythm and a recognisable and heavily worked sound design skills.

This is his third long player after They call them millions on DIffuse Reality Records from 2016 and The Architect in Konsequent Records in 2020.



During twelve cuts he travels through various aspects of electronic music, from the beatles and texturized Raid and Whisperers, to the continuous adrenaline shown on Wanderers or The Profit and the Loss, both  in the best metallic Birmingham tradition, the mental travel sweeps and pads in Crossings or the scifi approach of Empire and The Vision.

The Lost Moment and Legion go back to minimalistic and metallic repetition while Rage is made to test your resistance near asound system while dancing, a merciless weapon for the peak hours. 

Foreign Coasts return to sci fi moods but focusing more in asymmetry than bleep action.

Closing the release Scarred returns to arhythmic landscapes and relaxation after the gymnastic workout.

Atemporal techno made to last, carefully crafted, intelligently arranged and sonically excellent.

We are glad to have Oliver Rosemann onboard again with no less than 10 techno tracks on an extended digital EP. The german producer is well known for his trademark sound, always direct but full of details, showcasing his awesome skills in the studio.

Holoverse starts the sonic odyssey, direct to the dancefloor, with a crispy and subtle distorted sequence floating over a sharp groove. Things keep hypnotic and the mental approach is only disturbed by occasional claps and reverberated washes.

Exo-Genetics keeps things busy, providing the tension again with continuous sequences and reverberated organic percussion wisely programmed.Things get darker on Megastructures, more reverberated textures, precise kick drums on a mainly percussive approach making this one the perfect mixing tool.

Post AI Society returns to tension and synth action using a constantly evolving one bar loop progressively spiced with several drum layers.Wait until the end for a crazy effected galore that will sure make some trouble on the proper dancefloors.

Mind Interface is metallic and obsessive, the main FM sequence is the starring here as the title suggests, a truly ming burner. Time Dilation looks like a continuation of the previous one but using more high pitched synth lines and a broken groove.

Quantum Era stops the machine abruptly, acting as a beatless interlude to have a little rest before the last sprint, with Nanobot-Augmented at the ignitor, providing the scifi slice in this anabolic workout, a mental driller for the dark hours in your favorite smokey and flashy spot.

Celestial Colonies reminds of  the best of British tradition from the early Surgeon stuff, funky, shuffled and asymmetric.

Hyper Connected is the last cut, obsessive and elastic with a relentless sequence drilling the walls spiced with Fm percussion details and synthesized sweeps.

One thing’s sure, these two experienced individuals understand both the business and production facets of underground music and it clearly shows in all aspects of this new LP: the tracks span a multitude of genres, each of them made with a specific purpose in mind. A work of true professionals one would say.

"When you go to your stereo and turn on the tunes and all is working well with the speaker wire, then the sound is sweet, crisp and clear. You hear what the artist and producer intended for you to hear — and it’s a good and pleasant thing. 

However, if your speaker wire has a short in it, if it’s frazzled by a fray, then things might not go so well, and a clear connection could be lost. 

There are moments when that frayed wire may be in the perfectly placed position to still allow really solid sound to pass through. In that moment, the music is coming through loud and clear and you get to enjoy the groove. 

But then something shifts — even just a little, and suddenly that worn wire produces static (and maybe even sparks). The music’s still there, but with it is another competing noise — a sharp and crepitating noise — a noise that’s taken something pleasant and made it painful. 

All of a sudden something shifts again, and everything has gone from simple static to overwhelming and excruciating white noise. In the chaotic cacophony you find yourself reaching for the volume control in order to mute the mess because it hurts. 

Then things shift once more and the frayed wire is now in a position where nothing’s getting through. The connection has been lost and all is silent. The stereo itself is still making a melody, but that melody is trapped inside the machine and unknown to anyone on the outside."

Frequent - Continuity Error

The beauty of the diversity in life and the liability for change lead us to the third edition of the Mutable Minds series. This time, across 8 exclusive tracks, you will get to explore new productions from MindTrip’s inner circle like Pfirter, Dimi Angelis, Patrik Carrera, to a host of new names like Astronomical Telegram, Vohkinne, Jokasti & Nek and more.

The opening ‘Pride’ by Medellín based Astronomical Telegram works perfectly as an introduction to the musical journey that follows. James Bong is taking the lead with his rolling sequences embodied on his track called 13 to pass the baton to Atrophic Society’s label head, Vohkinne who’s tearing up the floor with his Dead Orchard. A new entry to the MindTrip family, but no stranger to the techno community, is German Oliver Rosemann who shares a modularized and straightforward tune entitled ‘Unmaker’. Label boss, Pfirter, contributes to this edition with his ferocious and fast-paced ‘Falling Bridges’ that comes with a fizzing energy for the dancefloor. Next is Berlin based Patrik Carrera with his ‘Valamar Conflict’ an experimental outcome inspired by the savagery of his live sets.

As the compilation is coming to an end, a familiar name to the world of MindTrip makes his return with a track that deviates from the realm of the easily anticipated and is none other than ANGLS’ label head Dimi Angelis. Last but not least, we are really happy to welcome to the label a Greek Techno duo, Jokasti & Nek. Having previous releases on several labels with Bas Mooy’s Mord among the highlights, Jokasti & Nek serve a perfect break-beat with characteristic vocals that is hard to forget. The result of Mutable Minds III focuses once more on the musical journey rather than the classification of a genre and works as a middle for the listener to enter a state that is more than what one can call ordinary reality. Reinvented and relaunched in 2012 under the new name MindTrip.

MindTrip Music was the creation of Buenos Aires born Juan Pablo Pfirter in 2006. The digital-only label acted as a springboard for upcoming Argentinian artists and of course, Pfirter himself, introducing those talents to the rest of the world. Over the years, the fledgling label allowed Juan Pablo the ability to experiment and play with music, sounds and textures and develop his own sense of direction and focus. Collaborating and drawing influence and experience from fellow MindTrip Music artists like Jonas Kopp, Flug, Markus Suckut, Psyk and Monoloc, both the label and Pfirter grew in symbiotic proportion. But after 6 years and 48 releases, Pfirter felt the need for change.

Having released on CLR, Stockholm LTD, Stroboscopic Artefacts & Figure, Pfirter’s brand of hypnotic music has touched dancers and listeners the world over. Not only limited to the clubs, Pfirter’s productions have delved deep into the experimental side too. This is the focus and framework of the new label. 
Juan Pablo reinvented and relaunched the MindTrip imprint, showcasing the full degree of his sound. The label changed its name from MindTrip Music to
just MindTrip, releasing vinyl as well as digital utilising a bespoke artwork profile.
