Golden Leaf is the 19th album by the Italian experimental band Larsen here exploring free-form sounds and spatial dynamics by real-time composing and creating a sonic and social environment.  It also confirms the love and interest the band has for collaborations as ongoing dialogues and portals to new paths.

 This album documents a four-hour site-specific performance by Larsen and Alessandro Sciaraffa featuring interactive sound totems designed by Alessandro Sciaraffa and exclusive food creations by chef Gabriele Gatti. The performance took place at a secret location in Torino (Italy) in 2021 and was meant as an alchemical rite with the audience as an integral part of it. It was recorded and then edited and assembled into two pieces by long-time collaborator, sound engineer, solo musician Paul Beauchamp.

VA. I: As a first radical letter - the inauguration of the Isabelline sound featuring four artists channeling elements of techno, dub and ambient minimalism. Limited to 120 copies on wax, finishing touches made at the mighty Dubplates & Mastering with collage artwork by Paul van Trigt. 

Berlin-based UK native and label head Practitioner has been active for nearly 2 decades under numerous aliases - releasing field recordings, musique concrete and ethnic percussive sounds; with his electronic productions floating ambiguously between dubtechno, UKG and Romanian minimal. With prior releases on Well Street, Lissoms and more, “Factor Basis” nods towards a love of analog broken techno and exquisite sound design. 

“Deviate” is the latest impeccable emission by Igor Dyachenko, whose symmetrical frequencies are precisely built on years of sound design with MaxMSP and modular equipment. Superlative “Ambient” doesn’t do justice to the textured layers of this broadcast built on unique source manipulation. 

Katsunori Sawa once again sidesteps all trends with his track “Royal Flush” - bringing down a post-club rising dirge with a savage low end tone. Based in Kyoto, Japan, where he runs 10 Label with Yuji Kondo, Sawa has been a key contributor to abstract techno, rhythmic noise and offkilter dub under a variety of pseudonyms and collaborations (Bokeh, EOC, Steven Porter). 

Cologne-based Senking has been producing lean subarctic dub, IDM & techno since 1995 with 10 releases on legendary label Raster-Noton amongst other projects. On his track “Painkiller” Jens harks back to the early 2000s spare bassweight sound which captured a generation.

Recorded live at Henie Onstad Arts Centre together with Jo Berger Myhre and Anita Kaasbøll. Jenny Hval & Susanna has composed the music and lyrics.

Transistor's brand new 'Soft Burning Silver' EP is the follow up to the band's debut self-titled release, taking the lighter psychedelic moments from the abrasive first EP, and placing them at the forefront, resulting in a more complete and immersive set of songs.

Over the course of 2017, these 5 songs turned from rough sketches, into fully fleshed out self-recorded pieces, with great detail being brought to the songwriting and quality of the recordings. 

Lead single 'All You Remember' introduces the new EP with a laid back and dreamy, yet pulsing rhythm (being influenced by the jangling guitar work of early Primal Scream and The Byrds), where as the second track, 'The Brain' brings back the loud distorted riffs of the debut EP, adding a more developed sense of songwriting, inspired by the likes of R. Stevie Moore and Bowie. 'Painted Game' continues along this vein, but drops further down the noisy rabbit hole, taking a few unorthodox twists along the way. The cinematic psychedelic dream of 'Endlessly' drives forward until title track, 'Soft Burning Silver', unsettlingly calms and brings the tracklist to a close.
