🗯🗯 How do you make use of technology? 🗯🗯

I always check for new Vst and read a lot in magazines and forums about new inventions. For me I always try to combine analog and digital gear. I also like to watch tutorials about music production and try to learn new stuff constantly. I think there is always progression and lots of ways to improve my skills. 

🗯🗯 Did your approach on creating music change during the pandemic and did it maybe even influence your style? 🗯🗯

Since I dont have the possibility to play as often as I used to before Covid I dont have the chance to roadtest my new productions and it takes longer for me to finish a track. I cant listen on big club speakers and dont get the reaction of the crowd so its just me or some friends that decide wether the track is dope or not and what needs to be changed. I also started to work on some softer tracks that arent particular for the dancefloor.

🗯🗯 What’s your favorite drink while being behind the decks in the Club? 🗯🗯

I prefer Skinny Bitch or a cold Beer

Reykjavík born, half Spanish dj and producer Bjorn Salvador began his dj’ing career at a young age, exploring all corners of both House and Techno music.

As time passed Bjorn got more and more involved in the Techno scene in Reykjavík. He performed on many big name events in Reykjavík through the years with artists like Dubfire, Carl Craig, Christian Smith, David Holmes, Gabriel & Dresden, Thomas Krome, Omid 16b just to name a few.

When Bjorn got into music production, he went more into the deep, organic and melodic side of House music.

In 2020 he started his own label, Nordic Voyage Recordings with Leon S. Kemp. Bjorn and Leon also host their weekly show named after the label on Proton Radio.

It's really hard to describe what happened that day, after 40h of travelling, I finally got to El Sitio Venao, 30mn before my NYD sunrise set, the vibe was exquisite, full of love and excitement, the setting was one of the most beautiful thing in the world, I went all in, took them on a journey, and well... This set happened 😍 Playa Venao always delivers, it was a moment out of time and I'm honored and humbled to present it to you. No matter if playing live or compiling a mix, Floloco, or Florian with his real name, strives to create something whole. The result is hard to pigeonhole as he moves across genres although never losing his signature theme: an intense ride through electronic music; cinematic, dramatic, yet never missing that particular groove. 

The electronic music enthusiasts has his own show “Sonorous” on Frisky radio and runs Schirmchendrink, the globally regarded brand with delicious “cocktails” of underground electronic music (and, admittedly, an incredibly hard-to-pronounce name). The original concept just celebrated its 200th episode anniversary past December. 

Together with his good friend, Benoit, Florian is further part of the deep electronica duo Gimérique. After founding Schirmchendrink together in 2016, they today work in tandem to bring dreamy electronic music into the air with releases on labels such as Sound Avenue or Harabe Recordings.

BIO:

Robin Schellenberg made his first steps into music when he was 16. In 2004 Robin moved from Frankfurt am Main to Berlin and began to discover the infamous electronic music scene of the capital city. In his early time in Berlin, Robin was running a recording studio in Kreuzberg, played in different underground bands and started some of his first electronic projects. After focusing for many years on creating and managing cultural spaces, he released as „Bonze & Krösus“ on Acker Records and Symbiont-Music. Schellenberg also played several gigs in clubs like Kater Holzig, About Blank, Sisyphos, Ritter Butzke, Wilde Renate and festivals like Fusion at Bachstelzen stage. After a short hiatus, Schellenberg came back to making music in 2017, when he became part of the Riverside Studios in Berlin along Tobi Neumann, Martin Eyerer, Gheist, Pan-Pot, just to name a few. At the minute he is running a studio there with his friend Daniele Di Martino. In the beginning of 2018 Robin co-founded the record label „Kamai Music“ with his fellows Jacob Groening, Zigan Aldi, Bonfante & Robert Helms known as Umami. His debut track „Elnath“ released at Mono.Noise under his real name “Robin Schellenberg” in the beginning of 2019.

A fresh addition to the Anjunadeep stable, the highly regarded Belgian pairing of Jean Vanesse and Thomas Sohet, aka Spirit Catcher, make a bold entrance with the brilliant "Black Pitch EP".

Having graced seminal labels 2020Vision, Moodmusic and Freerange over their 10 year career, Spirit Catcher have continued to push a deep, funk-informed groove. Incorporating melodic 80s vibes and modern electronic influences, the "Black Pitch EP" showcases their dynamic sound at its finest.

Setting the tone perfectly, title track "Black Pitch" comes straight out of the blocks with a dark, immersive baseline, before delicate melodies and rising pads combine for a swirling crescendo - tied together with an infectious vocal hook.

With hallmarks of a classic house track, "Vintage Point" teases a rising techno-influenced groove and builds to a discordant climax.

Taking things deeper still, "Miss U Right Now" rounds off the EP. Crisp percussion and a rolling groove lay the foundation for a slow burning jam, complete with hypnotic bass stabs and another spoken word refrain.

"something Grimm" is our representation of life.
the ever binding vicious cycle of being.
its not just love,its hate,its sadness,and its frustration.
and then,at the end,it DOES prevail,and the little things in life remind you why you should keep living,why you should get out of bed everyday,why you should fearlessly be yourself and not let anyone impose on that empowerment. 
From the beginning of the song
"once a upon a never,you were the reason i lived"
now - just because "you" is in the sentence,doesn't necessarily mean its targeted towards one person. its actually using the word to some up our society. 
because we believe in living for yourself,and your happiness depends on you. and we don't do anything to appease it.
moving forward
"everyone knows fairytales don't exist,hoping you could prove that love actually did"
this meaning im not going to play naive in my lifestyle,i know that is accepted by few,and im okay without that,but it shows i have a faith,and/or a hope for humanity,to be continuously let down by society,but i still keep a positive thought about it. 
you'll the second verse is the complete opposite opening line
"once upon a time,you were the reason i lived."
this is the first step in moving forward,admitting that you've let other have an influence on who you are as a person.
"i don't want to grow old and miserable like you"
meaning, theres always someone who didn't choose to live their life for happiness,someone who didn't choose their own path,and for them,i give my sympathy, but those people are always the ones to have the first say in telling you how to live,and i find it, IRONIC.

The chorus.
"You find yourself,from deep within"
look inside yourself,and release that person inside who so desperately wants to be apart of your world.
"You cry for help,its something Grimm"
No one like to vulnerable,no one likes to ask for help,because we humans have too pride within ourselves. but you have to realize that the people that LOVE you are there to help you through anything,they aren't ALWAYS there to hurt you.
show compassion,show weakness,show love.

so hopefully this helps with the understanding of the truth behind something grimm.
