I’m happy to present to you Evolution, the second episode of the Aurora series, which was recorded where I’ve been living for the past 10 years. Montréal has a very special place in my heart as it’s where my music career has started. It’s also where I’ve evolved from an accountant to a DJ / producer, following my true passion. This episode was recorded in that transitional hour from day to night, as a way to have continuity with the first installments. It allowed me to play a deeper and darker sound, one that has been my go-to when I first started djing, and one that stays relevant through time. I hope you’ll enjoy this homage to this city I call home.

Simos Tagias was born and raised in 1982 in the city of Serres, located in the North of Greece. His name has been well connected with high quality electronic dance music since 2012, from Progressive to Tech House and Techno.

He first started getting experience in House music and rhythms in the mid 1990s, a passion for the music that lead him into performing his very first mixes as a DJ in private, underground parties.

His love for Electronic music expanded while working on his very first studio projects in the early 2010s, which quickly attracted the interests of labels like Change Audio, Modu and Lynx Records. This has continued right up to the present day, Simos can now count top class releases on labels like Proton, UV/FSOE, Sudbeat, Clubsonica , Beatfreak Recordings and Movement Recordings. These tracks receive great support from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Cid Inc, Guy J, Sasha, John Digweed and more!

The last year has seen important gigs starting up in the Greek scene, in the north such as Movement Events @ Block33 (Thessaloniki), and Bloque Festival(Kavala). Here Simos shares the decks with artists from around the world including Guy J, Moshic, Luis Junior, Scotty A, Navar, Estroe and more.

Nowadays, Simos gets busy working on limited and well-focused studio projects, as well as these gigs around the country. There is news and projects to be seen and heard in the near future, so keep an eye on him!
