Starting as a label that served basically as a platform for their friends’ music in 2010, Uncanny Valley evolved into a record label that assembles acclaimed artists from the electronic music scene not only from the label’s base in Dresden but also from Germany and beyond. With a strong emphasis on the records’ artwork the label heads Philipp Demankowski, Conrad Kaden and Carl-Johannes Schulze are constantly on a mission to establish and refine the artists from the roster as well as to search for new talents. Artists as Jacob Korn, Cuthead, Credit 00, Massimiliano Pagliara, CVBox or Panthera Krause all feel at home on the label, giving them the chance to develop projects that are not only music related but can also integrate different art forms. With the two offshoots Rat Life and shtum under its belt, Uncanny Valley does not stand still to explore the full spectrum of electronic and not so electronic music from House via Disco, Hip-Hop or Ambient through to Techno. A range that can also be depicted when the three label heads come together for a DJ set as Uncanny Valley DJs.

Panthera Krause, our most favorite maverick of house, began his musical journey back in 2007 with his band Marbert Rocel, culminating in four albums on Compost Records that showcased his thrilling variety and unparalleled talent in the world of electronic music. After finishing his Studies of graphic Design at Bauhaus University Weimar his move to Leipzig opened up a new world of eclectic sound that inspired him to focus more on his own productions, resulting in energized, sanguinely tempered club tunes as something that comes just natural to this man, while broadening his stylistic spectrum to an unheard and absolutely thrilling variety. His releases on Live at Robert Johnson, Permanent Vacation and his own label Riotvan highlighted his lighthearted and groovy understanding of electronic music, earning him gigs from Burning Man Festival to Panoramabar and from Sunday Sunday to Robert Johnson. Pantheras live sets and DJ performances have been lauded for their passion and diversity, with recorded DJ sets for NTS Radio, HÖR, Groove Magazin, and Gilles Petersons Worldwide showcasing his unique style. Alongside Peter Invasion, he runs the Leipzig based label Riotvan where he released his first album back in 2019, It's a Business Doing Pleasure With You, hailed as the epitome of Krause-ness. With a range of remixes for Ätna, Jamiie, Kasper Bjorke to name just a few Panthera Krause continues to push boundaries and delight audiences worldwide with his innovative sound. His forthcoming „new-age-dark-pool-side-album“,how he calls it Aside The Aeons on Leipzigs Boutique Label number one Kann in 2024 is a testament to his unique musical style and promises a new era for this talented artist.

Keinemusik is a network with the label as the pulse pumping centre. Driven particularly by the spirit that moves the collective behind the imprint. The spirit to find your own agenda and let nobody get in the way. The spirit of refining House and Techno off the beaten path. Be it within their own tracks, within productions of other sorts or DJ-sets. The spirit of recall value within record- and flyer-artworks and everything intermediate in word and image surrounding releases and parties. And the spirit of diversification – Rampa’s effect-gadget-venture TEILE being one example. Keinemusik’s own booking department ‘Worldwide Dancing Club’, established in 2018, being another.

Keinemusik has been around since 2009. It has been naming an existing friendship and linked interests of the four members – &ME, Adam Port, Rampa and Reznik. A more or less constant count of five releases per year have been released ever since, solely laid down by members of the crew. And a considerable count of label-parties went down, not only in Berlin, but around all international focal points for electronic music. And surely, there’s plenty more where those came from. Originating in 1974, The New York City based Salsoul Records was one of the most influential records companies in the disco era that has shaped the dance music industry for decades. Artists such as Instant Funk, Loleatta Holloway, Carol Williams, Jocelyn Brown, Double Exposure, First Choice, Joe Bataan, the Salsoul Orchestra (led by Vincent Montana Jr.), Inner Life, Skyy, and Charo were at one time part of their roster. He had presented hundreds of remixes of songs including Arabic and English.
