Allpa Puruma - Lo que queda es oro [Subsist]

@anastasiakristensen has been offering a new definition of techno for the last five years. When she plays, she plays from the heart, with unbridled energy and a rare sense of colour. She can bang out brutal beats then pivot in an instant to hi-NRG synth riffs. She'll mash up old school breaks and bleeps then rave to the future on a wave of electro. Her productions are just as impactful on labels like Houndstooth and Arcola. Yet despite the seriousness of her skills and the intensity of her sounds, she always plays with a smile. 

The Danish DJ pulls no punches on this week's mix. It seems to encapsulate her every side - peak time festival rave as well as more nuanced back room selections. What unites it all are the drums, which can always be felt as much as they can be heard. Sometimes they bounce under a sparse synth line. Midway through they are raw, flat-footed, unrelenting. Towards the end, they unravel into a flurry of jungle breakbeats. It's not easy to play such high-energy music but keep things dynamic, yet Anastasia does it with style.

Blush Response presents his latest album: RECONSTITUTION. A forward sonic exploration by Berlin based Cuban-American producer and sound designer Joey Blush.

Reconstitution is the first of two albums written during the pandemic.  The album is a sequel to 2016's Reshaper, and it represents another departure in sonic texture for Blush. The seven track selection flows smoothly into the depths of direct-driving future industrial mechanics.  Near breakcore speed beats morph into acidic ambient techno anthemics, shifting seamlessly through styles while retaining Blush's signature and ever evolving sound design.  Prepare your minds for sonic blastoff.

It’s always a pleasure to release an album, even more if this album comes from the hands and machines of Hd Substance.
During a musical journey made of ten tracks, the Spanish veteran shows his synthesizer and drum machine skills, cooking this recording all out of the box. All of them executed using the inner
sequencers of the machines when possible and also using hardware sequencers.

All tracks were recorded in one take with no edits.

No computers were involved in the creation of this collection, although all of them have been made during winter / spring 2021. The intention in this work was to use the same techniques and
instruments used in the making of his first releases in the nineties plus some new ones to reflect the evolution and trademark sound he has achieved during his 30 year spanning career.
As the tunes were made using classic working methods, the track titles are names of also “classic” cinema actors from the past century, hence the album title.

Having grown up with a musical background, he has focused on developing his own sound, taking influence from different genres such as; trance, psy-trance, techno and tek. CNVN is a techno DJ/producer who started spinning decks in 2018 in Istanbul and moved later to Amsterdam. He made a signature sound by blending modular synths with powerful kicks. With the combination of interstellar sounds, limitless passion and perfectionism, CNVN secured his spot in the underground parties of Istanbul and became a resident DJ of Istanbul-based collective 303 Records. You can expect to hear hard, hypnotic, groovy techno with an industrial touch.

For over five years, Cadence has been immersing himself in the vast and evolving world of techno, carving out a unique and personal approach to the genre. As a co-founder and resident DJ of Introspective, a Geneva-based collective and record label launched in 2020, Cadence has been a key figure in shaping the local electronic music scene.

After notorious releases on labels such as Ismus, Extra Energy and Para//e/, Cadence has been pushing his sound to the maximum. The announcement
of his new alias Third Phase also promises some exciting releases for 2025.

Next up in our podcast series is @cervi-nicole , who brings us her musical vision straight from Costa Rica.
Cervi is the musical project of Nicole, a DJ graduated from DJLab Academy and co-founder of the collectives Sonido Disidente and Insurrectx. Her work focuses on trance and techno, characterized by energetic rhythms and atmospheric melodies that create immersive experiences.
Despite her short career, Cervi has shared the stage with international DJs/producers such as future.666, Sánchez Jr., and Chippy Nonstop. Additionally, Cervi has collaborated with
international record labels; her mixes have been featured on platforms such as
Loveisthetruth in Spain, inTension Live in Romania and Hystrionic Records in Colombia.

MITSUcast 071 - WISER.

Svar was resident at the infamous Mixed Munich Arts Club before it closed down. There he continuously developed his style of DJing characterized by a varied selection of different styles and moods, drifting and trippy soundscapes and always full of tension throughout. Together with his good friend Javier Bähr he also started Rohstoff, which functions as an ambient tape label and also a monthly radio show on Munich’s Radio80000. Svar moved to Berlin sometime in 2019 where he is planning further exciting musical projects. Stay tuned! This podcast is a recording of an opening set he played at legendary Tresor Club in 2019. An Allen & Heath Xone:92 Mixer, 2 Technics SL-1210 turntables and 3 CDJ-2000NXS2 were used that night.
