Radio On Vacation With Anna Gram

We're very excited to introduce everyone to our debut VA, which we aim to make an annual Summertime Charity VA on the label, and we are looking to release on our founder's birthday every year. This year we have taken the decision at Mixing Mates to match the proceeds to donate to a cause very close to our hearts: Indigo Gender Services, which is a partnership with LGBT+ Foundation and is a support group and community for trans and non-binary around Greater Manchester.

For this track we have Glasgow based Anna Gram, who some of you may know as being 1/2 of the amazing Lezzer Quest, or maybe you know her from being a long standing resident at the great Glasgow party 'Shoot Your Shot' run by the other 1/2 of Lezzer Quest: Bonzai Bonner. Also, more recently Anna Gram has released an amazing 4 track EP with Hammer's imprint Remmah called 'Celestial Objects'... For us, she has created a techno meets electro dance floor filler in the form of "Multiverse".

This track is the second number on the VA and is from Manchester based @muddy_feetuk . Resident of one of the city's most loved club nights 'Sticky Heat', always bringing a great atmosphere to the floor. No different here, with her track "Take It All In" which provides the most exciting energy to your ears.

Full release is out on Friday 27th August."

As a classically trained guitarist, bandleader, crate-digger, and DJ, Conte's journey into music originating from beyond Europe defines his brand of cosmic jazz. A prolific producer,
Conte's musical oeuvre echoes a spectrum of influences deriving from bossa nova, film soundtracks of the 60’s, spiritual jazz, Latin America, and African music.

Bienvenue Berlin-based French DJ @flaavio 🇫🇷 His musical influences range far & wide, easy to feel when listening to his 'søunds fløating arøund' show residency on Netil Radio.

He organises an inclusive party in Berlin called You Mean So Much, where he's had the chance to play alongside & B2B with selectors such as @AlexFromTokyo, @Austin-Ato, @KristyHarper, Daniel Wang, @DJAmir70 and more. 

The inspiration behind his guest mix was seeing @Hunee and @AntalRushHour going b2b at the end of August at ELSE. In his words, "their way of mixing various genres effortlessly is always quite something to behold, and that made me want to relax a bit more with a choice of music not necessarily "heavy/peak", but with a more soulful touch."

He's delivered a lush dance-oriented mix, all beautiful organic grooves, warming funky rollers & seriously deep cuts 💣

Former prog columnist and World Snooker champion Steve Davis joins his Utopia Strong collaborator Kavus Torabi (Gong, Knifeworld) for a blinder of a Bleep exclusive mix full of little-known and would-be prog classics, with nary a nod to well-trodden ground. The tone of the hour is one of ebbing and flowing forces; beginning with the tentative modular synthesis of Peter Frohmader’s ‘Spiral’ and the raga-esque melodies of Hama’s ‘Ataraghine’, the undercurrent of rhythms reaches its peak with the heavy, Neu!-flavoured space rock of ‘Underglass’ by OLD and some liquid Frippertronics from French cult legends Heldon.
