Luv Shack Records is kicking off the year 2015 with release # 15 - another blissful split EP, this time featuring Hard Ton and Daso, as well as Nick Anthony Simoncino on remix duties.

German producer Daso, who has originally emerged from the german techno scene, delivers two stunningly atmospheric pieces of modern disco on the flip.

First there's "I Seek", a dense and ever evolving synth driven disco track, with strong references to 80's pop and italo, whilst easily maintaining an original and modern feel.

Luv Shack Records is kicking off the year 2015 with release # 15 - another blissful split EP, this time featuring Hard Ton and Daso, as well as Nick Anthony Simoncino on remix duties.

Italian house music lovers Mauro and Massimo aka Hard Ton started off with two releases on Dissident in 2009, and have since then become the go-to production team for authentic acid driven vocal house with a classic touch.

Their first track on the EP ,"You Made The World Go Round", is a destinctly dubby slice of vocal house, complete with sultry stabs, piano and a catchy synth bassline.

"Keep It Closer", the second Hard Ton production, is a densely intstrumented house track with an array of chord stabs, hovering strings and a powerful bassline - tied together by Massimos intimate vocals.

Nick Anthony Simoncino tackles "Keep It Closer" to a darker place, tightly embedding the sparse vocals in a carpet of analogue strings, pads and bells - all driven by a percussion heavy drum machine beat.

Wolf Music, the seasoned house music appreciators, are back on the gas pedal again. With Ishmael and Black Fan showing face on April's white label and Frits Wentink's Rarely Pure, Never Simple album a month before, they prep their next course. Wolf grad, Medlar, makes a colourful return to the fore with WOLFEP030 — a first project since his debut album, Sleep.

Flakes of jazz are kneaded in at different points throughout; a dribble of sax here, piano runs galore elsewhere ("Dawn Chorus"). Yet it's "Paradise" and it's alluringly cyclical drive that makes it first pick. A truly harmonious affair: yearning string solos, trundling conga/bongos underfoot and even birdsong at the tail end. The video is just as blissful in all its black and white, zoological glory.

Just as Mother Nature would have wanted it. Out on 5th October 2015.

It starts innocently enough, with a slow build warming the atmosphere and setting the tone. You can feel a great calm being slowly stirred and whisked the various ambient elements, creating an organic feel and a chugging energy. When the time is right; we break through the clouds and bask in a warm sunlight. ☀?

Stepping up for remix duties on the EP closer is 100% Silk and Honey Soundsystem affiliate Octo Octa, bringing her signature, lush house stylings to the title track, ‘Porcelain’.

It’s an epic remix, rolling past the 10-minute mark with confident ease, with a slice of dreamy nostalgia thrown in for good measure alongside a gurgling bassline and slow-building weight.

Premiere: 'Porcelain' (Octo Octa's Eyes Closed But Drag Me On Mix)

The Ltd series reaches another milestone with the 10th release on the imprint. Off course a special release will suit this special occasion. The label is further broadening the soundscope with Deventer (NL) resident Ferdi Blankena. This new cat on the block will not only have his debutrelease on Wolfskuil, but this will be his first ever release! 
Ferdi’s music got send to us through a mutual friend and his take on (deep) house, disco en electronic music was so original, fresh and energetic, that we had to seize this opportunity and sign him on the spot. On the vinyl you will find: Langkawi, wich sounds as warm and exotic as the island it’s named after. On the flip there’s Mother’s Son, a highly original and very catchy Nu Disco track with vocals and guitars paving the way for a summersmash. Seance is without a doubt the deepest one of the bunch, build around a vocal sample and percussion wich sounds like it’s recorded in another realm.
