Carlo has been a steady force of deep house for the last 15 years with successful releases on over a dozen different labels. This latest foray on Lovedancing is one of his best. The entire EP is loosely influenced by The Neverending Story, apparent in the creative and enigmatic use of samples, inspired sounds, artwork and themes.

Every track is highly danceable, with the A-side title song taking front and center, utilizing an impressively complex layering of sounds and rhythm from the swung drums, to synth fills, to groaning siren sounds in the background.

The B-side finds the chunky and moody sounds of Gmork, and the disco-tinged Pyornkrachzark. A solid three tracker from start to finish that will find its home in many crates for an array of reasons

Barcelona’s Baldo revisits the gorgeously colorful ‘Dream Of You’ from Istanbul’s rising talent Zeynep Erbay, taking it on one hell of a trip.

Rocking a classic breakbeat under his tight house foundations, he gives his remix a rolling feel that’s counteracted by the insistence of the three-note bassline which morphs into acidic resonance as the track evolves. Snatches of the beautiful lead synth and the dreamy vocal sample provide the lightness of touch against this more rugged element, and the kicks switch to a breakbeat rhythm to add extra tension in the midway section alongside the fizzing electric piano-esque chords from the original. When the lead riff drops back in with more urgent techno rides driving it harder, it’s a truly joyous release. Round off with an extended acid workout and you have yourself one mighty fine remix to compliment the cute charms of the original.

Baldo has signed music to Gerd Janson’s Running Back, Catz-N-Dogz Step Recordings, Permanent Vacation and E-Beamz amongst others, meaning his arrival on Exploited comes with serious pedigree.

After a bunch of wicked house productions on Beste Modus, Rough Limited and his own Unison Wax, Diego Krause is about to step out on Apollonia. 

If you're a fan of lush, groove-infected jams then you should probably check out the Berlin-based producer's SoundCloud. 

Cuts such as 'Seize', 'Mogul' and 'Special Treatment' have obviously impressed Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Soundorom and Shonky as they've snapped him up for the 'Right About Now' 12", following output on the label by Kerri Chandler, Point G and Callisto in 2013 and 2014.

This DJ mix happened around Springbreak 2016 on an island in the Baltic-Sea between Denmark and Germany. It took place at a rather small and intimate gathering in an old cottage near the sea. With the music helping to create a warmer atmosphere inside the house than the outside temperatures. Which can be still quite low around that time of the year.
