I have a cheeky we French number for you today. Produced by Lyon’s rising tech-house star, Spencer K.

I was first introduced to Spencer by Metodi Hristov who collaborated with him on “Basic Tricks”, their Hot Since 82/Danny Daze/Robert Dietz supported bomb from late 2014.

Since then he has given us “Vodka Way”. Was it an ode to the standard DJ rider most clubs opt for? Who knows... What I can say for sure is that it featured on GU’s (Top 10 tech house) Ibiza album and was supported by the likes of Catz’n’Dogz, Wade, The Mekanism & Thermalbear.

For his debut EP on GU he delivers 2 brand new solo tracks and a superb collaboration with Saved/Suruba/Kinetika artist Dennis Cruz.

“Impacto” (with Cruz) kicks off the EP. Heavy brass stabs and oddball vocal effects make a unique topline while some clever percussion and bouncing bottom end deliver a killer club groove that - to me - sounds as fresh and dance-floor ready as Metodi’s “Step Outside” did two summers ago. 

“Dynamite” takes things up a notch with looping vocals and air-punching synths. “Hard Struggle” maintains the energy levels with rolling synths, rapid-fire snares and a cool vocal and for those that missed it first time around, “Vodka Way” is here for you too.

Leftwing & Kody debut on Adam Beyer’s Truesoul imprint with a thunderous four tracker. Rumbling low-end and dusky atmospherics make up the basis of ‘Telepathy’ as otherworldly pads and suspense filled breakdowns ebb in and out of the cut. Crunchy percussion, chopped samples and energetic rave stabs then forge ‘Acid 16’ before a gyrating bassline and echoing synths generate the low-slung ‘Labyrinth’. Concluding the package, ‘Inception’ combines eerie melodies with stuttering kicks for mesmerising results.

An ultimate summer jam with elevating synth lines, Sound of Music is a cover version, originally released by Nookie and features chart topping artist Katy B on vocals. Kooky Chords is a dance floor bomb, with melodic breakdowns sure to set any dancefloor on fire. Next, Positive Pressure features label favourite Kevin Knapp, deep and gritty, the bassline swings with spacey layers. Last up, Parallel Universe is a deeply infectious chugger with vocal cuts.

Co-founded with Lee Foss, Hot Creations was the start of an empire, which went on to include sister labels HOT TRAX and Emerald City. Jamie also runs Paradise at DC10 in Ibiza, standing today as one of the most popular nights on the island, it enjoys a close connection to the label.

Remaining at the forefront of the dance world, Hot Creations continues to break new talent and play host to well established producers. Releases have come from artists such as Patrick Topping, Richy Ahmed, Route 94, wAFF and Roisin Murphy amongst many others including pop group Hot Natured. Critically acclaimed albums by Miguel Campbell, Digitaria, Popof and Phil Kieran have all been highlights on the label. Reaching this impressive milestone, it seems only right that Jamie Jones is the one to deliver the 100th release.

Release Info: 
The prolific and always engaging Sidney Charles is back on Moon Harbour with four more tracks of definitive house and tech. His Rawelution EP comes six months after his last outing, Soultrade, and is another impressive release. 

Hamburg talent Sidney Charles has become an influential producer since emerging in 2011: his full fat, chunky house offerings have become staples in DJ sets and land on labels like DFTD, Relief and Truesoul. He’s coming off a big summer of gigs everywhere from Sankeys and DC10 in Ibiza to Watergate in Berlin, Glastonbury in the UK and many places across the States, so remains on top of his game. 

The instantly classic ‘Good Times’ featuring Hector Morales races out of the blocks with a barrelling drum groove overlaid with early Chicago era vocals. It’s a robust house anthem that’s rock solid and ready to ignite any party. The muscular title track is hardcore house with slamming hits and low swinging drums. Techno hihats dangle in the air and warped synth stabs flesh out the groove to devastating effect. 

Keeping up the pressure is ‘Gone,’ seven rather more stripped back and spiritual minutes of swirling pads and steamy female coos. A big breakdown allows the diva vocal to really soar and some neon melodies add warmth to this heads down marcher. Closing things out is ‘On And On’, a freakier tech number with raw percussive energy, tense crescendos and pixelated synth explosions driven by churning drums. 

As ever, Charles has served up four fantastic house variations here that are all designed for maximum dance floor impact.

The blissed out two tracker continues the fine run of form that the label have been on and we have the premiere of the A-side 'If I Was'.

 It's a beautifully intricate and soft cut, one that will send any dancefloor to a loved up sanctuary.

With recent releases on Dirtybird, Method White and his own Edible imprint, it's clear Eats Everything has a knack for producing outstanding party music. His productions are often widely played by top tier DJs and his latest work is getting support from the likes of Chris Liebing, Pete Tong and Annie Mac after he debuted 'LOUD' on his BBC Radio 1 show. Eats is in top form at the moment and the music speaks for itself. It bangs 'LOUD'!

Teaming up with Chicago hero Green Velvet, the duo have created a stomping and rumbling number called ‘Keep Pushin’ (Harder)’.
