The third track titled "Rusk" is tough from the outset with solid percussion forming the tracks back bone, whilst light congas and a textured background loop create a sense of natural movement. Focused round a synthesised organ part that's soaked in reverb, the track is simple yet effective, with crossover appeal for people playing both Tech House and Deep Techno.

​About a year ago we had Clouded Vision boss Matt Walsh go In Session for us. What he delivered was an hour of wriggly and writhing techno cuts, with Locked Groove, Daniel Avery and Ripperton all included. 

The mix itself was in a similar vein to the Bugged Out! associate's own tracks and remixes, whether it's 2010's 'Honey Comb' on Wax:On Music or his rejig of Daniel Avery's 'Free Floating'.

@uponyourecords verbindet Menschen. Das beste Beispiel dafür ist die EP namens „Follow The Machines“, die bereits am 8. März 2017 erschien. Die Kollektion wurde in Kollaboration zwischen Sylvain Soulier und Joseph Thomas Price kreiert, die unter ihren Pseudonymen @thirdsonuk und @darlynvlys besser bekannt sind. Neben drei Original-Songs umfasst die EP einen Remix vom Produzenten-Gespann @eins_tiefer. Nico Bulla und Vincent Probst, die sich hinter dem Alias verbergen, wollten anfangs den Remix mit mehr Zug nach vorne gestalten. Rausgekommen ist dabei ein Acid-Remix der nicht richtig gepasst habe. „Beim zweiten Versuch sind wir etwas reduzierter an die Sache herangegangen, was sich letztendlich bewährt hat“, so das Duo. Following on from Mytron & Ofofo's excellent 'Topography' EP, the fifth release on @les-yeux-orange comes courtesy of Rennes producer Ringard! The 'Lacrima Rossa' 12" is his first release outside of his own @dancearound88 imprint, on which he's put out eight records so far.

We're premiering 'MSH', a seriously impressive cut that mixes the soul of deep house with the chassis of warehouse techno. It does a lot with very little, and that floating synth line ends up becoming surprisingly emotional.

Octave One announce their new album under the much loved Random Noise Generation guise. The first RNG release was 'Falling in Dub' in 1991 and sounding just as fresh 27 years later, ‘Endustry’ is due for release this spring. 

Something of a new take on their creative process the Burden brothers made most of this music on the road while they toured over the past year, using the country they were in at each time they recorded to influence and inspire each track. “We were tucked away in so many hotel rooms that we decided to make sure we brought enough extra equipment so that we could set up a true lab to create from country to country and make the grooves that we wanted to experiment with on the dance floor.” comments Lawrence.

This body of work encompasses 7 full length cuts, naturally all with that classic Octave One emotion. “'Alkaylze', more than any of tracks on this project, embraced the original spirit of Random Noise Generation in so much as the “machine” seemed to be really guide the creative process.” Adds Lenny “Much of the foundation of the composition was very accidental, but inspirational, with various musical devices interpreting data in a very unexpected results. It actually came together quite quickly but things just fell into place so naturally.” 

After touring and making music for decades the spirit and essential energy of the craft is what keeps them eternally inspired to keep creating and touring the globe… ”Once it takes hold of you you can’t stop even if you wanted to.” says the pair, and so 'Endustry' is born.

Octave One presents | Random Noise Generation - Refraction

With its newest release, Jannowitz Records is sticking to the tried and true. “Dub Space” is an EP compiled of four weapons, and the original creators of these weapons are no others than Maksim Dark and Diatonik. Both have been part of the label for quite some time, with Maksim making his first appearance in 2016 (remixing Joseph Disco's “Bodymoves”) and Diatonik in 2017 (remixing Touchtalk's “Rescue”). Since then, both have become regulars on the labels, working closely together with Jannowitz label head BOHO and being two of the main players ensuring the imprint's success.

Now they've joined forces to create what can easily be the heaviest release this year. Because if you've followed both artists you may know that they're known for proper techno, driving beats, strong kicks, progressive sound and a futuristic vibe. 

Berlin-based producer The Reason Y joins the label with his remix of the EP's title track. You should know him from his work on Pan-Pot's Second State label or maybe from his TRY Land parties at legendary Watergate club.

Last time Steve Bug and Cle were spotted on Rejected it was the innocent summer of 2019 with 'Strange As It Ever Was'. Boy were they mistaken.

16 weird months, one pandemic, two lockdowns and a whole string of collaborations on Steve's Poker Flat later and the two old friends collide on Joris Voorn and Edwin Oosterwal's imprint once again. And things have never been stranger. The one consistency we have right now is music and thankfully it's sounding better than it ever was. Especially crisp, feel-heavy cuts like these.

'Flying Keys' taps into some of the holiest of house ingredients; shivering keys, hooky momentum, fly-by-night breaks and a sub bass that hums from here to Berlin. Simple in its make-up, overwhelming in its vibe, Steve and Cle tap direct from the source right here.
