Emerging Irish talent Lukey makes his debut on Hot Creations next month with the three-track Less Is More. Achieving such a feat so early in his career signals a major milestone for the young artist, setting the tone for a highlight year ahead. 

“Releasing on Hot Creations is a dream come true. As a teenager, tracks like Stick, Like That, Forget and many other of the earlier releases led me into the world of electronic music, so it was really special for me to put something out on the label myself.” - Lukey. 

The title track kicks off the release, showcasing the Irishman’s signature style with a minimal, four-four led bassline that features a rolling synth throughout. Quick One soon ups the tempo, packed full of dubby undertones and cosmic-leaning synths, before We Will Never Hear brings things to a close. A devilishly danceable piece that features an iconic vocal, expect to hear this across the global club circuit in 2021. 

Already an established presence in his home city of Dublin, it’s no surprise Lukey is beginning to take the wider industry by storm. Previous appearances on Play Groove and IWANT Music have solidified his reputation as one of dance music’s breakthrough talents. With two vinyl-only releases dropping on Carpet & Snares this year, as well as plenty of productions in the pipeline, the future is certainly shining bright for Lukey.

Fresh from announcing the full digitalisation of his second label, Meta, Ben Rau returns to his Inkal imprint with OutThere,  aslicktwo-trackerthatshowcasestheGermantalentathisbest.
“I'm very excited to return to my home Inkal with an EP of two long awaited tracks that have been thoroughly road tested.”  Ben Rau .
The EP begins with title track  Out There , a swelling house cut that merges rolling percussion with funky disco licks, before a heavily delayed vocal calls out to the dancefloor in the breakdown. Driving congas and shuffling hi-hats create a funky peak time track that shows off Ben's big room sensitivities. On the B-side comes  What is Love , a long-awaited and enigmatic house cut that rounds off the release in style. Deep pads swell and ebb, while Ben's signature minimal percussion bleeps and glitches with funk and swing.
A name synonymous with the underground facets of electronic music,  Ben Rau ’s career in such a sphere has developed year on year since his earliest inception into Berlin’s raving circuit. After developing an internal love for the dancefloor, such a passion naturally progressed into a full-time profession where, in 2016, Ben launched his first label, Inkal, as a home for his self-made releases. This was followed by the formation of Meta in 2018, to showcase music from other produces in the scene. Alongside being head of two labels, Ben’s passion for producing has seen his tracks land on the likes of Fuse and Tamango Records, before his incredible remix of Roy Ayers’ legendary  Holiday  was released on BBE in September 2018.

Following his debut on Archie Hamilton’s Moss Co., UK producer Charlie Banks now joins MoscowRecords bringing a pair of intricate house cuts with the label boss on remix duties.

Hamilton has been playing the Gottwood Festival DJ’s music in his sets for years now and following his ‘One Morning In Staines EP’ on Moss Co. Charlie Banks has seen further support from artists like Seb Zito, Diego Krause, and Traumer. Appearing on Moscow Records, the breakthrough London-based producer returns for his second statement release of 2019.

Opening his next release, ‘Flight Mode’ instantly deploys a sultry bassline as trickling subtleties operate alongside crunchy snares, making way for a stuttering warped melody and crystal synths – the result is both deep and energetic. On the flip, thudding kicks and echoing effects lay the foundations for ‘Project X’ as a meandering sequence joins a thunderous low-end. Tying it all together, Archie Hamilton’s remix of ‘Flight Mode’ boasts a complex rhythm from the off as various different percussive elements interlink to create a mesmerising dancefloor roller complete with acid licks.
