Over the past 6 years WOLF Music have earned their stripes as stalwart purveyors of refined House and Disco. Now, in the follow up to Medlar and Greymatter’s debut LPs and EPs from the likes of Ishmael, Ossie and Casino Times they ready their 3rd LP from Dutchman Frits Wentink.

Now residing in Amsterdam, Frits has a glowing back catalogue of soulful, Lo Fi club material that’s touched Heist Recordings as well as WOLF in the form of his ‘Mouse’ and ‘Goose’ EPs. With an experimental approach to hardware and instrumentation, his work blooms naturally through jams and improv and in this - his debut LP: ‘Rarely Pure, Never Simple’ we see a development in this experimentation to enlivening effect.

Working with a meld of grubby samples, chunky percussion and the frequent vocal accompaniment of Utrecht based Loes Jongerling, Rarely Pure Never Simple is a journey through Frits’ influences forged into a cohesive pack of grooves and interludes tinged with a certain charming nostalgia.

Leeds-based DJ and producer Tom VR (@tomvalbyrotary) lands on All My Thoughts (@allmythoughts), the sister label of Seb Wildblood's Church imprint, with his debut album 'Films'.

Setting the stage for the 11-track release is the deep house cut 'You (or Someone Like You)'. A smooth, soulful and emotive motif lays the foundation for a driving dancefloor beat highlighted by subtle cosmic textures.

Look for the 'Films' album to be released February 22.

Frits Wentink takes to his own Bobby Donny imprint to deliver a collaborative release with DJ Boring dubbed 'Wasted Years Of Pumping Iron'. The EP consists of three jacking and glitchy house track including the swinging, garage influenced deep house cut 'Chad Brothers'.

This exciting collab brings together two of the brightest talents to emerge from the underground in recent years. Frits with standout releases Wolf Music and Detroit Swindle's Heist, and Dj Boring developing a cult-like following with releases on Shall Not Fade's sud-label Lost Palms, E-Beamz and the Let's Play House sub-label LPH WHITE. With that, this forthcoming EP is not to be overlooked.
