"We wanted to do a proper, 128 BPM house mix. Our very ecstatic, house energy mix. It’s going to be just over an hour, because we want it to be in that radiant space for the entire time and play some of our older favourites, as well as newer favourites from our record bag over this past year. I absolutely loved doing this - taking the party deeper and deeper into after hours, and bringing everyone back to consciousness again in the second half.

I remember dancing for hours and hours at the Sleepless Floor in the summer of 2010. A dancefloor that, as the names says, never stops. It was the first time I heard house music the right way and I also remember hearing ‘Music Is The Answer’ by Danny Tenaglia and saying to my friend Boris: “I think it got me, the virus, it got me.” I wasn’t wrong. House music gave me so much in the years after and in a way it also saved me. Those early years were at times lonely and dark. Going out back then was confusing, when the only people that looked like me in clubs were security guards or the cleaning staff. It was supposed to be about freedom and togetherness right, but where was everyone? Luckily that darkness gave room to light and I found my people (and I keep finding them!) and I held on to house music, it was an embrace for eternity and it became the center of my work. I could channel my emotions through it and it never left, it became my home. So that’s why I decided to start this mix series. House Is Where The Heart Is. A series that will probably go on forever if it’s up to me. For the music that gave me the key to it’s home and and welcomed me in.
