Organist Damin Spritzer, live in concert at the Berliner Dom for Internationaler Orgelsommer 2022. the 1958 Prelude de profundis was written by Herbert Howells long after the original six psalm preludes. In 1905, this organ was considered to be the largest in Germany with 7269 pipes and 113 ranks spread across four manuals and pedal. Wilhelm Sauer created an instrument that embodied the latest in technological and musical innovation to be found in German organ design at the turn of the century.

Variations On America

Organ recital performed by Robert Glasgow at Independent Presbyterian Church, Birmingham, Alabama, on November 30, 1969. This was the final recital for the Fifth Annual Series of Organ Recitals, held each year during the month of November, and continuing to the present day. The Fifth Annual Series celebrated the rebuilding by Aeolian-Skinner of the church's original E.M. Skinner organ, Opus 516, built in 1924.

Recorder Dimminution

A beautiful Preludio Largo from Sonata VII of Ignazio Sieber.
This is from a collection of 12 sonatas, the first 6 of which are by Galliard and the second 6 by Sieber, resident of Rome. This particular movement is written in a lush Italian style and uses the expressive qualities of the recorder quite well. These are sonatas worthy of much more attention than they have received. Great Italian style with good technical challenges. 

This is an old recording from the 1970s or ealy 1980s.
