This is a track from Concerto Palatino's new CD (to be released June
2023 for the label Passacaille)called, Ex tenebris ad lucem: Venetian Music of Penitence from a time of Plague (1575-77). The CD juxtaposes music from the Venetian plague years with a newly commissioned work of American composer Robert Kyr. Here in Giovanni Gabrieli's 10 voice motet, a cornetto plays the top voice with four singers in the first choir, while an alto voice sings the with four trombones in the second.

Here you can hear the second half of Kyr's work, which alternates transformed excepts of Venetian motets from the time of the plague with brief arias for soprano soloist(Hana Blazikova) accompanied by cornetto, violin, violone and organ.

Recorder Dimminution

A beautiful Preludio Largo from Sonata VII of Ignazio Sieber.
This is from a collection of 12 sonatas, the first 6 of which are by Galliard and the second 6 by Sieber, resident of Rome. This particular movement is written in a lush Italian style and uses the expressive qualities of the recorder quite well. These are sonatas worthy of much more attention than they have received. Great Italian style with good technical challenges. 

This is an old recording from the 1970s or ealy 1980s.
