I am still looking, trying and experimenting, I really like electronic ambient for many years, but it only works as a live percussionist. In short, nothing is black or white:)
In today's hectic world I need quiet sounds and the vast majority of songs created at night, so are my compositions such as they are.

My tracks is based on the absolute freedom of the use of sound. Arises as if I painted a picture. In the head is the base, and then adding the details here and there.
As well as if I were his music told the story.

I use: Ableton-Live-Suite with Partnerinstrumets, Kontakt Player + virtual instrumentzs,NI-Machine, Ableton Push, Acces Virus TI Snow, Waldorf Blofeld, AKAI MPK 49, Korg Microkorg XL+,KORG Kaossilator,Kaosspad,KORG Wavedrum, Roland HPD 20, nord lead A1 r, Yamaha mx49, Roland Edirol for Fieldrecordings - and various live percussion.(Kalimba, frame drum, tombak, koshi etc)

I'm a composer, working from a 3' x 5' studio (some may call it a dinette) in a 5th wheel camper, while traveling the United States. I've been on the road for six years, so most of my recent work will have come from a different state (of mind and location) during my travels.

Music makes me feel better about everything. I don't know that I'm ever happier than when I am creating. I sometimes wonder if creativity isn't one of the primary keys to happiness. Do you ever feel better than when you say, "Look what I did."? This phrase magically conjures the purest sense of childlike joy.

Music works for every part of our lives. We all have music for when we are sad, happy, celebrating, meeting others, when we are alone, and even when we are lonely. Did a song come to mind as you read each of those situations? I remember the first song I ever heard on the radio, on my first bus ride to kindergarten. One of my favorite musical memories is playing in a band for steel beach on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz.

I love telling stories with music. Everybody loves John Coffey in the Green Mile, but Mr. Jingles should have a song commemorating his reaching and joining the circus at Mouseville. If you agree, join me for this and similar journeys. The music here is synthetic, but as real as you would choose to have it.

I find writing to a Haiku prompt sufficiently limiting and exquisitely inspiring.

All those except XIII Sisters and RAW which, as many of you may have done, I literally gave away in return for their placement in a library. Something I won't be doing again any time soon. It only runs on a Mac because I really don't have time to do all the necessary work to make it compatible with anything other than my 2015 MacBook Pro :-(. James is a multi-instrumentalist creator of music as well as a contemporary artist. He plays stringed instruments (guitars, cello, ukulele, bass, etc.) and uses a midi controller for any instruments he doesn't have access to; such as a timpani or a glockenspiel.

James creates music that is inspired by the pure love and joy of making music. The style of music he creates varies from piece to piece. He will go from songs that are accompanied by guitar or ukulele to full arrangements of a traditional North American band to orchestral scores that you could easily hear backing a film or video. 

By browsing his music you're likely to come across traditional pieces of music sounding as old as time and other pieces sounding as new as yesterday's jingle. 

Instruments inspire him to make new sounds come together to form music and combining old and new sounds is something he very much enjoys exploring.

While music and sounds are a big part of James' personality so is making art, graphics, and videos. James has worked professionally as a technical illustrator/graphics specialist since 1991. So James almost always creates art specifically for each piece of music he puts out into the world. The art may or may not be directly related to the piece of music in context but it will definitely give you another perspective on how the music has inspired him or makes him feel.

Jan Bjork has had a passionate interest in music since a very young age. Having training in playing the piano, selfstudies has led to more instruments that can be handled. His own music covers piano and electronic/synth based music reflecting his broad taste in many genres.
