Ultimae label founder Vincent Villuis aka AES Dana returns to one of his favourite emotional fields with (a) Period. and explores these times of forlornness and oblivion in a Cinematic Ambient 10 chapter story. 

As a creative observer, the French artist instantiates our endeavour to establish stillness, he steers the tale with a wide palette of sensitive chords, melting distant rumbles into bittersweet melodies and diaphanous pads thus leading the listener to a state of introspection and intimate isolationism. 

AES Dana's 9th album "(a) period. " stands as an elegy for unimaginable loss, and, as the composer says, "any resemblance with your personal experience is no coincidence".

Desolation представляет собой идеальную комбинацию ambient и future garage. В релизе явно прослеживается вдохновение творчеством Burial, однако Евгению Демину удалось создать свой ярко выраженный модернизированный авторский стиль. 

Меланхоличное настроение и шероховатые текстуры в сочетании с плотным звуком вызывают состояние невесомости от музыки. Мелодичные лиды рисуют замысловатые узоры, а парящие в воздухе пэды и протяжный вокал создают атмосферу, подходящую для дождливых дней, прогулок по ночному городу или моментов уединения.

Desolation is a perfect combination of ambient and future garage. The release is clearly inspired by Burial, but Evgeny Demin managed to create his own distinct modernized author's style.

The music has a sad mood and texture, combined with dense sound, that makes the listener feel weightless. The melodies are beautiful and complex, while the background sounds — like floating pads and long vocals — create an atmosphere perfect for rainy days, nighttime walks, or any moment you might feel lonely.

Sounds Of Snow is a project by Thomas Snow (Rotterdam, the Netherlands). Initially, Thomas explored music as a bass guitarist in a ska-reggae band before gradually shifting toward electronic soundscapes and mastering digital audio workstations (DAWs). Since 2018, the project has released over ten albums spanning psychill, progressive chill, and ambient genres.

Sounds Of Snow actively tours Europe and performs on chillout stages at major music festivals. The project’s signature blend of soothing melodies and danceable rhythms takes listeners on captivating sonic journeys. As Thomas himself describes it, the tracks of the Lotus album are tales of the mind’s adventures, woven into one musical story.

On the information superhighway, individuals around the world become connected in ways they never dreamed of before. Like minds meet and exchange ideas at the speed of thought, millions of times every day. The home PC patched into the world wide web becomes like a neuron in a vast global brain. Cultures collide, mingle, scatter to the four winds, collect in fertile areas across the planet. 

Geographic boundaries disappear. Revolution is at hand. 

In 1999, a chance online meeting of two cultural castaways became a mutual obsession. Once the initial setup of software was in place, the music started to flow. DnB collided with techno, jazz, funk, and classical as files were transferred back and forth from California to France. The end result was greater than the sum of its parts. 

Dreamshader and Daytuner are now living together, creating music from the comfort of their home studio. They’re still castaways, but at least they’re on the same island together.
