Nandu returns with full force on OFF Recordings with Glömde, a high strung melodic techno cut consisting of one original track and two revamps.

Rolling into a broad groove from the get-go, Glömde is a tightly knit Tech House banger that brings together firm percussion and melodic synth thrusts. Singer Tyra’s delicate vocals, at times whispered, add an extra layer of harmonies, making the track even more compact and entrancing.

Netherlander techno craftsman Love Over Entropy delivers a spellbinding remix, stripping down most of the original elements and reverting the focus onto the percussive backbone. Seemingly straightforward, LOE reconstructs the initial groove, rebuilding it up with industrial details and a raw, ample sound esthetic.

An artisan of deep house reworks, Manoo explores Glömde’s house appeal. Kicking off with a tribal percussion lead that stays centered throughout the cut, Manoo’s remix brings out the track’s versatility and plays on its spaciousness.

Belgian boys GoldFFinch (Innervisions, Turbo Recordings) are called upon to deliver a signature rework on the brand new release from Adana Twins & Human Life.  The pair, who've recently released on the likes of  Get Physical and Valence, provide a stonkin' remix. GoldFFinch coat the original mix with a harrowing industrial air. The pounding kick drum combines with the all-consuming bass-line to give the track a powerful drive.

Solid Steel in association with Serato (3rd June) This week in Hour 1 Australian producer Isaac Tichauer teams up with Lancelot (who did a remix for his Street Lessons EP earlier this year, along with Feel My Bicep, Dorsia and Hackman). Isaac Tichauer had previously done a remix for Lancelot on his Anjunadeep release in 2014 and here together they drop their Solid Steel mix of influences and current favs. They told us;
"Isaac and I set out to put together a mix of eclectic tunes, both new and old that represents what we love about house music. Dons like Andrés, Kyle Hall and Pépé Bradock are massive influences for both of us and were our introduction to it all, so it felt fitting to include them in our Solid Steel Mix. There are also tunes from Peggy Gou, Frits Wentink and Urulu who are pushing the envelope and writing great, innovative club tracks. We both have exclusive newbies in here that you can hear for the very first time as well! :-)

I had the pleasure to remix Martin Stimming's master piece and title track "Alpe Lusia".

Spring 2016 saw the release of Stimming’s fourth full length album “Alpe Lusia”, which was named after a remote little alpine hut in northern Italy, in which he had secluded himself to work on his LP for a full month, all by himself. From the title track of his LP emanates his following release on Diynamic, the Alpe Lusia Remixes, and the remixing protagonists are none other than Robag Wruhme, long time collaborateurs Acid Pauli & NU and last but not least Solomun.

First off is Pampa mainstay Robag Wruhme, whose take on Stimming’s “Alpe Lusia” starts off as a dark and brooding tech house gem. Later, when you have made your way through its rough outer shell, peeling off the hard claps, it shows its soft core, with gentle pads caressing the arrangement.

Acid Pauli & NU deliver a deep and driving, almost haunting reinterpretation of “Alpe Lusia", with a thumping bass and ethereal vocals that are hypnotizing.

Finally, Solomun adds a remix that reminds you of the rabbit hole in Alice's Wonderland: the longer you dig, the deeper you get, and the more fantastic is what you experienece.

The original version is the only track on the album without a real groove, which is why Stimming chose precisely this track to be remixed - to see what the others would do about that. Now it is fair to say that all three remixes have succeeded at this task.
