Steve Bug & Langenberg - PARADISE SOLD REMIXES 

Steve Bug and Langenberg's 'Paradise Sold' album dropped earlier this year to quite a rapturous reception. It's hardly surprising that two of the more prolific and passionate men in house music would pull together such a complete album of contemporary house music.

Happily, the guys have now curated a fine EP of remixes from friends and family to take some of the album's key moments into new directions.

'Search For Xur' gets the treatment by Rodriguez Jr., bringing a very slinky, late night deepness to the original courtesy of a bubbling bassline and emotionally charged synth pads.

'Senior Elfo' is flipped by fellow Germans Frankey & Sandrino, whose knowledge of the deeper end of the tech house spectrum gives the track an epic openness.

Perlon and Panorama Bar legend Cassy drops her Full On Dub Mix of album highlight 'Chord Cluster', and delivers a slick, driving burner for the floor.

Similarly, 'A Touch Of Detroit' is re-rubbed by Ostgut Ton's Virginia with her Broken Touch Of Detroit mix, which channels classic motor city techno legends to produce a near perfect slice of hi tech soul.

Like the Greek legend Icarus, Wax Wings is soaring towards greatness. Taking after his Brazilian father, a musician and British mother, an artist, Wax is a man of many talents. From his visual creations in paint, graffiti and photography to his fashion, make-up artistry and of course music production, his abilities span endless forms of expression. 

Alongside his own releases, Wax has also found the time to work with artists from Skunk Anansie’s Skin through to the Dead Can Dance’s Lisa Gerrard and remix Maya Jane Coles, Nocturnal Sunshine, Eli & Fur, Zebra Katz, The Presets, Skindred, Vök, Sofi Tukker, GAPS, Fischerspooner and Bronski Beat. With his own work having been remixed by dance music dignitaries like Jay Shepheard, Warboy, Absolute and Panorama Bar regular Alinka. 

Equally as successful as a DJ, Wax has supported an ever-growing list of the cream of the underground scene such as Chris Liebing, Ellen Allien, Kim Ann Foxman, Joris Voorn, Alan Fitzpatrick, Loco Dice, Adam Beyer, Pan-Pot, Heidi, Derrick Carter… In particular, Wax has now become Maya Jane Coles opener of choice at her events around the World. One might not expect that multi-talented artist Rey&Kjavik is originally from the Rhine-Main-area hence his chosen DJ- and producer-moniker and also because of his eclectic musical approach. But matter of fact Rey&Kjavik is one of the few artists that represents the once so blooming region in the middle of Germany, whilst ‘blooming’ is to be understood in regards to the current development in the electronic music scene and its subcultural life in the Rhine-Main-area.

During the years the Frankfurt producer and DJ became an indispensable part of the international house scene. On the one hand there is a never-ending series of powerful hits such as "Hwmym", "Face It" or "Baba City".
With their gripping basslines, these tracks immerse themselves completely into the fervor of the night. His stirring melodies and his vocals for the most part sung by himself develop a wide-ranging emotionality, ensuring the tracks are not just DJ food, but break into the brain and the heart of the listeners. On the other hand there is the unique stage presence of the Frankfurt producer and DJ, who, with all his decisiveness, always conveys a sense of his
crowd. Rey&Kjavik appeared in most of Europe's leading clubs and festivals, playing in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Turkey, Russia and Singapore. As a preliminary highlight of his
career, he appeared at the festival of festivals, at Burning Man, in 2015 and 2016. 

His debut album RKADASH came out on Katermukke and made quite some impact around the world.
In 2018 he released his second long-player, ‘Mountiri’, on his own label RKJVK, which depicts two topics the artist wants to emphasize: a holistic musical approach combined with cultural diversity.

Over the years he developed a signature sound that perfectly fits into the actual dance music zeitgeist of rave nomads chasing the hottest spots on planet earth to unite, dance and meditate.

“Barial” and “Junar” are the product of two sun-kissed studio sessions and the atmosphere shows, with huge melodies and a feel that’s geared for the big stages.

“Barial” is a heat and hand raiser with a deeply satisfying chug. The evocative melody does much of the talking but the quirky percussion makes it a clear winner. “Junar” is its faster, prog-indebted cousin. It emerges out of a cloud of opium smoke, with a sneaky acid line and a lead that conjures memories of a fantastical Orient.

Ursula Rucker is a Philadelphia born poet, mother, activist and recording artist. She has been performing, recording and releasing works for over 20 years. Ursula has traveled and toured extensively, throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Africa…sharing her poetry…her heart and soul. She is dedicated to art as/for social change…and committed to freedom fighting, truth-telling and peace-(and a little trouble ;) making through her chosen art form. Ursula believes in taking her art as far as it can go…whether it be through teaching, activism, lecturing, conducting workshops, merging it with music and recording or rocking mics and stages.
To date, Ursula has released five solo albums (Supa Sista, Silver or Lead, ma’at mama, Ruckus Soundsysdom, SHE SAID)…as well as collaborated on over 100 songs, in a wide array of musical genres, with producers/artists from around the world (such as King Britt, Bahamadia, The Roots, 4 Hero, Jazzanova, Louie Vega, Incognito). Currently, Ursula is working on her 6th solo album, and planning her first book project...and always looking forward to making and sharing art with the people in as many ways as possible.
