Uno de los fundadores del movimiento de música electrónica en el Caribe, DJ Marcos Boricua es músico, promotor y DJ. Durante casi una década ha sido encargado de producción de eventos para la mítica sala La Boca del Lobo, donde no sólo programaba conciertos y sesiones, sino también teatro, exposiciones, ciclos de cine, semanas temáticas, performance y un festival internacional de cortometrajes.

Actualmente es programador y DJ residente en varias salas de la capital. Sus sesiones son una mezcla inesperada de estilos cuyo denominador común es el beat. Funk, Soul, Jazz, Blues, NuJazz, Broken Beats y House son algunos de los estilos que puedes escuchar en sus sesiones. Ha compartido cabina con Florian Keller, Nick Recordkicks, Paul Murphy, Nickodemus, Eddie Piller, Mark GV Taylor, Boozoo Bajou, Mad Mats, Jazzman Gerald, DJ Floro y Miguel A. Sutil entre otros.

One of the founding fathers of the electronica movement in the Caribbean, Marcos is a musician, producer, promoter and DJ. For almost a decade, he has been in charge of event production for La Boca del Lobo, one of the most emblematic clubs in Madrid, where he not only booked a wide variety of concerts, but also organized theatre, art exhibits, film cycles, performances, and an international short film festival.

At the moment, he is event coordinator and booker for several clubs in Madrid. His sessions are an unexpected mix of styles, whose common denominator is the beat. Has shared sessions with Florian Keller, Paul Murphy, Nick Recordkicks, Eddie Piller, Nickodemus, Boozoo Bajou, Mad Mats, and Mark GV Taylor among others. Soul, Funk, Jazz, Broken Beats, Latin, Afrobeat, or House are just some of the genres that make it into his sessions.

For over a decade Emch has been the producer, selector, and musician behind Subatomic Sound System and the Subatomic Sound label. Founded at the turn of the millennium, NYC’s Subatomic Sound System has built a reputation worldwide for explosive shows, genre bending production, and breaking down barriers with their unique adaptation of 1970’s Jamaican sound system culture and dub reggae studio techniques to all types of bass heavy music genres, current technology, and live performances. A record label, DJ/production crew, live band, and event promoters, the Subatomic Sound crew is at work in NYC on every level. For 3 years, Subatomic Sound Radio blasted out to a footprint of eleven million terrestrial listeners in the greater NYC area on KEXP's Radio New York broadcast, 91.5fm and also via BrooklynRadio.com  

Subatomic Sound System has toured throughout N. America, Europe, & Asia  including with Lee Scratch Perry at NYC's Central Park, RBMA NYC, Poland's One Love, and Moscow's Milk with John Forte.

As the Subatomic Sound record label head, Emch has produced and released dub reggae innovator Lee Scratch Perry's first dubstep tracks plus eclectic collaborations with icons like filmmaker David Lynch, Prince Far-i, & UK punk pioneer Ari Up of the Slits as well as new school torchbearers like Anthony B, Elephant Man, Jahdan Blakkamoore, Dubblestandart, & his own group Subatomic Sound System.
