Enzo Siffredi and MoBlack team up for MoBlack Records' upcoming sonic voyage. Inspired by the lush sounds of the earth, "Shikiria" is breathed to life by Mariam Zawose's invigorating vocals at the marrow. Up first, the 'Day Mix' holds on to infinite sunshine through vibrant percussion, buoyant Afro cadences and exhilarating harmonies. At the other end of the horizon, the duo complements the saga with an immersive "Night Mix" - a breathtaking mosaic of organic and electronic sounds.  Grounded by Mariam Zawose's vocals, this nocturnal rendition swells through ethereal soundscapes, mesmerizing rhythms and sublime progressions, casting a blissful journey through nocturnal reveries, anchored in the ubiquity of the present. Joining the trio, Zakem and Yescene complete the EP with their visionary remix, conceived in an acoustic realm where time is non-linear and place is measured in concurrence with emotion. Inquisitive rhythms, cerebral progressions and euphoric melodies make this lasting finale a junction in space and state of mind to remember.

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts – a proverb which definitely holds true for this colourful and energetic EP, coming straight from the island of Lamu, Kenya. Recorded during the pandemic in 2021 at the iconic Lamu House, this record brilliantly reveals how music can transcend borders between cultures, genres and even musical epochs. At its core lies Taarab music native to the Swahili coast, which in itself is a heritage from times when the area was under Omani protectorate. An Noor is a Taarab band from Lamu who root in tradition and bring the past into the present: Their Tabla drums remind us of days where Arabic influences were formative, their mesmerizing vocals tell stories of love and pain, as relevant today as they were then. Their sound is complimented by Makadem, composer and player of traditional Kenyan instruments such as the Nyatiti harp. Makadem himself is no stranger to fusing ancient and modern musical schools and has reached international recognition for his crossover arrangements. On Into Taarab, producers Max Doblhoff and Sidney Simila (Clubcruise Music, Music From East Africa) frame the magic of these Lamu sessions in club-friendly edits, dreamy and driving, and always carrying the Clubcruise signature sound that feeds both body and soul.

"Saba Bo" refers to the Tom Tom, which was traditionally used in East Africa, which was once used for news transmission and mainly as a warning drum!

Around the same time with the album release of Max Doblhoff's "Africa La", the third single release named "Saba Bo" will be released.
The original track has a strong rhythmic imprint, dominated by the two instruments Tom Tom and Kora - the later almost virtuosic played by the great musician Baboulaye Cissokho, his character of Senegalese origin.
The typical African "Roots-Style", originally originated in Senegal, but developed in further adaptations to Kenyan stylistics.

The version with Idd Aziz is a fusion of funky elements, a subtle electro-disco touch, enriched with contemporary synth-chords.

Other remixes are from Makossa & Megablast and the Viennese newcomer Ksawa and will be completed soon after the single release in July 2017!!
