Last Scene

The first half is a descent into the suffocating atmosphere of a haunted space. It is a work of pure sound design, where oppressive silence is punctuated by sparse, unsettling events. Without warning, the silence is shattered. The second half is a relentless, high-octane orchestral chase. Driven by a pounding, staccato heartbeat and frantic, screeching strings.

The Come Up

Off of the release of the ‘KIND-A-THRILL’ EP, Melbourne-based Uno Lizard has been focusing on remixing to find a new sound and challenge. In keeping with the 90’s house exploration, ‘Purple Rose’ continues to grab the essence of artists such as Soul II Soul and DNA, all while keeping a classic Uno sound. 
The original tune, written and recorded by producer Nikodimos and singer GUS (Found recently on ‘The Nikodimos Album’), deals with themes of the cycle of breaking up and moving on from a relationship. Using the melancholic attitude, the remix aims to attack that ethereal quality one feels, the sadness, the heartbreak but yet the hope that we all live off in these times. 

Uno Lizard is the side-project of working Melbourne guitarist/DJ Harry Leggatt, of whom is a member of several upcoming bands such as Cofi, Kayroy Live Experience, Gabriel LCR (Live Band) & Emma Volard Band. The project aims to capture the 90’s sample based House music vibe, and bring back the live essence clubs and raves once had.

"Little Bird" is the first glimpse of the upcoming "Graveyard Novelas EP", the upcoming release by Mocky. "Graveyard Novelas" spans Mocky´s recent move from Berlin to L.A. and musically bridges the gap between these two metropolises, finding lots of common musical ground, from Berlin´s dark club sounds to L.A.´s hypnagogic songwriting renaissance. In making the EP Mocky used everything from a 30-piece choir to an autotuned vibraphone and the songs feature vocals from the silken voiced Hilary Gay and Pegasus Warning as well as Mocky himself, and Lucky Paul lends a hand on co-production.
