Evaporate 蒸發一週年，雖然處於疫情期間，還是想一起分享喜悅以及音樂。
在一年間我們舉辦了 14 場派對；邀請了來自中國、印尼、日本、南韓、墨西哥、史瓦帝尼、英國、義大利、德國及台灣的 DJ 製作了 31 集 Podcast。帶來高質的音樂體驗是蒸發自始至終追求的，也請各位敬請期待未來動向。

This marks the one year anniversary of Evaporate 蒸發. Although undergoing the troubling times of the pandemic, we are still determined to share the joys of music together. In a period of one year, we were able to host 14 events; We invited artists from China, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Eswatini, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, and Taiwan to produce a total of 31 podcasts.

Providing a high-quality musical experience has, and always will be the ultimate pursuit for Evaporate, and we invite everyone to stay tuned for many more projects yet to come.

Evaporate 1 Year Anniversary: Quadcore, Sub & Venci

My next guest on Yax Invites is Sub, a Techno DJ from Taipei City, Taiwan. 

Sub is a skillful storyteller through music. Those emotional tracks he picks lead dancers on a musical journey, which also creates ultimate possibilities for the dancers to relive the music with their imagination.

In 2021 he became part of「EVAPORATE 蒸發」, a well-known music event label based in Taiwan. It often holds House and Techno parties and invites outstanding artists from all over the world to participate in online radio podcasts.

Nuno Costa comenzó sus incursiones en la música electrónica en 2008 con su apodo Sinner, y con él creó Warface, un grupo y promotor local centrado en el dubstep, el drum 'n' bass y el garage británico. En 2013 puso en marcha su nuevo proyecto, VIL, centrándose principalmente en la música techno, electro, breaks y house. Su EP debut llegó a principios de 2015, cuando el sello portugués Extended Records lo eligió para un lanzamiento. Poco después, lanzó en el sello "Faut Section" de Lewis Fautzi y en el legendario sello techno Synewave New York, dirigido por Damon Wild. El gusto refinado y la capacidad de construcción de escenarios de VIL ya le han valido un lugar en algunos de los mejores clubes del país, entre los que se incluyen Lux Frágil, Gare y Ministerium, y también es una presencia habitual en muchos de los festivales del país. Avance rápido hasta 2018, donde junto a los artistas portugueses Temudo y menosdois, crea Hayes, un colectivo enfocado en mostrar la producción distintiva de sus artistas a través de lanzamientos digitales y de vinilo. Contando ya con tres ediciones en vinilo desde sus inicios, su música ya ha sido tocada por los más grandes artistas de la escena.

For our 147th FrenzyPodcast we invited the Berlin-based vinylhead, Kyly. Kyly is a lover of the 2000's tribal sound - anything with bongos, loose percussion & tribe vocals will surely fit his record bag as he believes this sound to make for the hottest dancefloors.

Being gifted a darbuka (turkish drum) & a guitar by his father sparked his interest in rhythm and percussion at an early age. Later introduced to techno music and the concept of Dj'ing by his friends, he started to gain more and more interest in techno and the culture surrounding it. It wasn't until he switched to vinyl and started discovering the sounds of 2000's legends like Chris Mccormack, Mark Williams and Mark Broom though, that his interest developed into a deep passion.

Today Kyly is obsessed with the warmth and unique charackter of early 2000's tribal / techno. It's the rhythm, the joy and the instinctiveness of that era he's truly in love with. Constantly refining his skills & his record collection, Kyly hopes to convey his joy of music to the people listening; creating a vibe that is colorful, cheerful and interactive.

A self professed techno DJ from Taiwan, Sub has formulated a emotionally rich sound with a fierce side lurking close behind. He sets transition from deep and powerful beats to rhythmic and hypnotic cycles, all of which attracted me to his sound many months ago. 

This exclusive set has been in the works for quite some time now and for those lucky enough to catch him in person make sure to check out his techno based events in his home city under the Sublime tag.

We would like to think we have served up plenty of special treats in our podcast series so far, but this latest one is certainly one that many people will get very excited about. It is not often that Detroit key-figures step out and offer us a window into their current musical world, but that is what we have here from Sherard Ingram aka DJ Stingray. Famed for many reasons—not least for always DJing in a black balaclava—he is founder of the Urban Tribe super group with KDJ, C2 and Shake, was DJ for the legendary electro outfit Drexcyia and is also a fierce DJ and producer in his own right. He came up playing tough techno and electro in hardcore motorcycle clubs in the D, but is now a regular in the world’s finest underground spaces, where he pushes a dark, intense sound that is socially and politically charged. Shades of Miami bass and ghetto tech also characterise his work on labels like Shipwreck, Bleep43, [NakedLunch] and Unknown to the Unknown, and in 2016 he is as busy and prolific as he has ever been. This summer he plays a rather exclusive back to back set with Helena Hauff at our festival in Amsterdam. 

The mix he serves up is a great snapshot of what Stingray does - forces you to dance to his high tempo, high impact sounds. He mixes them quickly and slickly and there is a real sense of urban paranoia and future menace in every tune he reaches for. Sit back, then, and bask in the glory of a real master.
