From Brisbane, Australia comes The Stranger.

In late 2013, guitarist and drummer Kalen Austin and Daniel O'Brien, coming down off the glorious ride that was the too short 5 years spent recording and touring with Brisbane Symphonic Metal outfit Alpine Fault, joined up to form a new Progressive Rock and Metal outfit. The project was formed from the material composed by Kalen over the previous few years and they set out immediately to complete the line-up.

Auditioning first as Bassist, but who would eventually switch to lead vocals was Tom Frayne, who brought his passion and talent for poetry and melody. Following many auditions came Ben Nolan and his virtuoso ability along with a wealth of musical knowledge from study at Queensland University of Technology. Lastly, completing the 5 piece was Brendon Blanchard, (formerly of Progressive Rock band Arcane) providing his impressive skills on bass guitar, having studied Jazz at the Jazz Music Institute of Brisbane.

The Stranger started with a goal of leaving no musical stone unturned, taking influence from every genre of music and placing their own spin on it, mixed with a solid core of progressive rock and metal to create their own sound, from acoustic ballads to screaming metal to funk, country twang and everything in between.

Releasing their first demo tracks, recorded, mixed and mastered by the band, and busily writing their first full length Album, The Stranger are eager to take the stage and share their music with the world.

Gold Coast alternative/rock outfit Mass Sky Raid formed in 2011, releasing their debut EP ‘Courage Under Fire’ mid 2013, securing physical distribution to Australian retailers via MGM. Off the back of receiving strong media reviews – including a 4.5 out of 5 star rating in rock bible Blunt Magazine – Mass Sky Raid secured support slots with high profile Australian bands including Dead Letter Circus and Twelve Foot Ninja as well as UK exports I Am Giant. 

Several tracks from the EP as well as follow-up standalone singles “Oceans” and “Enemy” received airplay on rock radio shows around Australia including Triple M, 4ZZZ and 2FBi, in addition to over 40 stations in the US, Asia, South America and Europe, including BBC1 & BBC6 in London. 

Mass Sky Raid have done all their recording to date at Loose Stones Studios alongside owner/producer/mix engineer Matt Bartlem, with both ARIA award-winning producer and Loose Stones native Forrester Savell and producer J.R. McNeely (Nashville TN, US) weighing in on mixing duties. Mastering has been balanced over time between Sterling Sound’s Grammy Award winning heavyweights, Tom Coyne and Ted Jensen. 

Mass Sky Raid announced their highly anticipated follow-up single "Oceans" in August 2014 to an exceedingly warm public and industry reception, with Dead Letter Circus frontman Kim Benzie describing it as "... one of the catchiest heavy rock songs I have heard in ages... " Celebrated by a successful east coast Australian tour later that year, Mass Sky Raid ran the eastern shores again in March 2015 with their sprawling sophomore standalone single "Enemy" before mostly retreating back into the studio where they’re currently in the final stages of their debut full-length release.

A precociously talented 4 piece Metal band based in Melbourne Australia, NTH RD formed while still in high school (where fellow school Alumni The Cat Empire and Grammy Nominated songwriter Sarah Andrews learnt the ropes), They cut their teeth at School Parties and events before launching themselves in 2018 to the music world at large with their self-titled EP. Recorded at the prestigious Studio Truth in Collingwood, the EP is a collaborative effort designed to be played loud and often, but it is their live performances where the band really show their ambitions with fast moving guitar riffs, infectious basslines, extraordinary drumming and a charismatic lead vocalist.
