Who’s the worst kept secret of the 140 scene? Smart money is on dubstep’s most intrepid shaman journeyman, Leo Cap. 

A law unto himself, with Changer EP, Leo’s stepping up to be a true Bad Man. Six immaculately crafted deep system bangers that stand up to any producer on the planet, with unreal sonic clarity, EQ depth and percussive energy. 

Lead single Bad Man begins proceedings with a groove so gangsta it makes G Unit look like the Jonas Brothers, whereas Selfish offers 2025’s best screw face inducing synth line. Changer switches things up with a futuristic soundscape before the drop obnoxiously slaps you around the chops and fails to apologise. 

Feel the Vibe comes in as cold as the arctic circle with its hypnotic swing, before Play flips proceedings to a technical playground of shaman sorcery - with EP closer Perfect gradually building to a wall of dub influenced bass weight and reverb drenched rim clicks.

The @infernal_sounds familia has decided to step up their game by starting a record blueprint. The first 12" features our boys @perverse, the duo Alex & Brett hailing from New Zealand, who have shaken up our dubstep and 170bpm culture quite a bit over the past years. 

'IFS001' showcases some of the Kiwi's most favourited dubplates, including 'Rustic' as digital bonus track. We're delighted to showcase this heavy two-tracker from IFS and wish them all the luck in 2016.

It’s hard to believe we’ve taken over two years, and 24 releases, to sign music from New Zealand. Especially given the near stranglehold the country had on bass-led electronic music over the last few years, with the likes of Truth, Perverse, Ghost Note, Epoch, Arkotypes, Headland (and more many) - not to mention Kursk and the Innamind Recordings gang or our Averted Vision family - breaking through. But all is resolved with our 25th EP…

“Christchurch’s Akcept has been on our radar for a fair amount of time, appearing with new material in a number of FKOF Sessions over the last year or so. Given the quality of Alex’s music, much like the rest of his Kiwi brethren - we’re surprised his release on our imprint is his solo debut. But that’s no bad thing; as we’re always happy to launch new talent! 

“We’d be hard pushed to select any of the four tunes on FKOFd025 as clear favourites. The release embodies what we’ve come to love about Alex’s music; diverse and adventurous sounds that feel as comfortable together as they do apart. The EP opens with 'Desert Dubbing', a tune Korrupt’s been testing whenever the opportunity presents itself. It’s yet to disappoint. 'Cut It' follows - with its wicked sample, wheeling sub and floaty synths. 'Panic Attack' evokes an almost Perverse-esque vibe with its haunting atmospherics and relentlessly aggressive low end. If you can’t experience this on a system, you don’t know what you’re missing. Last, but definitely not least, we have 'Martyr'. It feels like the most experimental inclusion on the record - with its future-facing vibe - but still epitomises the producer’s ability to craft something truly special. It’s a tune that feels at home at 11pm opening the night - and again at 6am as the sun rises.

"Rikk" is the first track from the EP, unloading a massive amount of low frequencies, powerful kicks, sharp snares while still maintaining a creepy yet melodic vibe throughout the entire track. Quasars and Tinkys producing styles are blending amazingly together in this song and we are hoping to hear more from the french duo in the future!
