The Avon Guard is a mainly “indie” band from London, whose unique sounds seems
to be taken out of a Tarantino’s movie. A band, which started through friendship-
over 20 years of it- but until now, had not released any albums, only “Forget”. They
are launching this great EP, which contains one of the most awaited remixes in
Jonestown Records. Modernphase, one of the members of Gameboyz, who is an Audio
Engineer, producer, dj and also the co-owner of the label Melómana Records, is
releasing one of his most important jobs as a remixer. This is something he wants to
make clear: that one of his best skills is indeed, to remix progressive bands such as The
Avon Guard.
Modernphase -who has already released different installments for labels such as Play
Pal Music, Nein Record or We Play Acid- releases this time and under Jonestown
Records, a more dance-floor oriented remix: Slow Mo, Disco or New Wave are some of
the sounds which come up into this track, full of wonderful elements which develop
through the whole piece.
