Paul Kalkbrenner at Sonar Festival 2013 - Barcelona, Spain

Gutkind's sound and sets are techno to the core: diverse, moving, timeless.  It's no coincidence that he's been a fixture at Cologne's Artheater for years. But instead of becoming dull and drowning in the midst of changing scene trends and hypes, the numerous gigs as a resident DJ have made him more attentive and sensitive to the mood and the course of a party night. For the right energy and fun on the dance floor, the context is most important to him. Facts like club, party, headliner, set length – whether opening, closing or somewhere in between – significantly influence the composition of his sets. Which can be fast, dark and hypnotic, as well as slower, groovier, with more Detroit influences or breaky vibes. All for a night that should never end.

As highlighted by us in September last year, then Romanians have unwittingly formed a new blend of dance music, blending minimal techno & groove laden deep house, sewn up and exported to some of the clubbing world's hottest cities. Djs Rhadoo, Raresh and many more have helped to define a new sound amongst an overly-familiar genre - including hot export Priku. This Romanian musician and DJ shares a special 2 hour live mix with MEOKO, recorded at Bucharest's Snrs48 party, in turn delivering a live and unedited snapshot of his driving, deep and at times, subtle sound. A dynamic mix - playing with the space between notes and veering into minimal, atmospheric tapestries - Priku's focus on nuances in sound, percussive elements and thick slabs of bass running throughout shall take the MEOKO listener on a far flung, left of centre journey into a lesser known aesthetic. Kamcken uses strong expression and a high bpm as a form of freedom in his music, it is embedded in elements that move in the foreground with melodies that melt like radiated shocks in contrast to a second plane of overwhelming cadences.

Tapefeed is an electronic music project born from the collaboration between the two Italian djs and producers INOB and Rick Vayo.

A long period of b2b sessions culminated in the two artists merging their talents together to launch a new musical journey under the name of Tapefeed.
The soundscapes reproduced by Tapefeed evoke a truly raw, deep and almost mesmerising sensation created by the blending of hypnotic ambient tones with techno-tribal percussions, heavy basslines and emotional melodies. Their ever-evolving sound comes as the pinnacle of years of musical research shared by the duo. Alessandro’s decade-long experience as a music and art director, event organiser and avid music listener are essential in keeping Tapefeed’s image and sound up to date. Rick’s background as a drummer in rock and funk bands and his recent ventures in piano studies and production, on the other hand are the driving force behind their innovative sound. This merging of their passion, musical experience and innate desire to achieve new sounds allowed the duo to broaden their horizons by being the brainchilds of Tales Collective, where they are resident djs and organisers. Tales Collective aims to explore music, art and human consciousness by moving it away from its seemingly prefabricated one dimensional view and into a realm of shared, collective awareness. This brings forth a new breed of techno parties in which different artistic expressions fuse together to create a powerful, reflective and unique audiovisual experience. They played recently in New York at the amazing place Elsewhere and joined the Berlin OECUS family.
