Another tuesday, another quality guest mix by none other than austrian DJ & producer Sutter Cane for you! Based in Vienna, Adrian is the founder and A&R of internationally respected label Driving Forces Recordings. His driving sets earned him a reputation as an untiring, skillful and emotional DJ throughout all his performances at locations like Tresor in Berlin, Lehmann Club Stuttgart  or festivals like Mayday, Ruhr In Love or Gazometer. Releases on Impact Mechanics, Nachtstrom Schallplatten and Phobiq as well as uncounted remixes for the likes of Sasha Carassi, Pfirter and Nierreich further cement his renown as a producer of quality techno tunes. Upcoming releases include an EP for Unknown Territories with a remix by none other than Black Asteroid. His ongoing motivation and mantra throughout: Techno at it's best!

This particular set is a recording from Saturday 06.09.2014 where Sutter Cane performed alongside Marco Bailey at FLEX Vienna.

MODULAR EXPANSION PODCAST #070 | MISTAKE MADE

@chapter-records is kicking off 2020 with a bang by releasing the newest creation by Milford with his Debut on the label ‘’Sleep Deprivation”.

An EP where the Madrilenian artist shows off a change of style, worlds apart from his usual characterizing Detroit sound we know him well for.

Milford invites us on a voyage full of intriguing textures and well crafted dark sequences in the tracks “trick or treat” and “Transference” where he underpins his devotion to techno of an intelligent and refined nature.

We hear a twist in his story with the track “Expect the Unexpected”, a soundscape touching more on his electro alias UHF sound.

A fabulously vertiginous track of which the Spanish techno master Tadeo has also given his take on, with a more hypnotic but piercing vision on the original cut.

Diego Santin aka THEOREM is a DJ and producer currently living in Milan.

He has quite a long experience as a DJ, both in Italy and abroad, where he had the opportunity to be influenced by different perspectives of the international electronic music scene. Inspired by his continuous travelling, his selection is focusing on ethereal, atmospheric and introspective tracks able to spread an immersive lightness throughout the entire dance floor. He had been resident DJ for “q|Lab”, the most visionary and dynamic LGBTQ+ party in Milan, as well as being invited as a guest in other clubs and venues.

In 2019 he founded the collective “clausura”, an event series (supported by the homonyms podcast platform) that has the aim to spread a deep and atmospheric techno sound in the city of Milan.

You can guess his past life as an engineer through his sounds characterized by a minimalistic, schematic and mathematic style of composition. This novelty was awarded by being selected for the final phase of “Jägermusic Lab” contest on September 2017 under the pseudonym of Archipelagus, his duo production project.

Modular Expansion was founded by George Apergis and has run successfully, since 1998. The name “Modular Expansion” is inspired from the first analog modular synthesizers of which different parts were connected between each-other, forming an expansion.Modular Expansion is a cultural body of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and has to its credit actions with the auspices and financial support of the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Athens. Actions such as vinyl releases, art videos and publishing events. He is also a European Design Award holder, Silver Award in 2016 in the category Music & Films Covers. Modular Expansion have events in a lot of European cities and famous places like Berghain, Tresor, Suicide, Sisyphos, Renate, Birgit in Berlin, also in cities like London, Rome, Barcelona, Sofia, Warsaw, Moscow, Tel Aviv and at the most prestigious places in Athens.

Modular Expansion is one of the first teams which started organizing Techno events in Athens in 1998. In the end of the 90s began to host artists from the labels such as Tresor, Basic Channel and Chain Reaction, presenting the Berlin underground music vibe and making techno popular in the Greek capital. Founder of Modular Expansion known as George Apergis performs already in 2002 at the legendary Tresor in Berlin. Counting in his history more than 1000 events and hundreds of guest artists like Adam Beyer, The Advent, Alexander Kowalski, Truncate, Ø [Phase], Schwefelgelb, Yanamaste, Parallx, Philipp Strobel, Psyk, dj Rolando, Monoloc, Drumcell, Brian Sanhaji, Radial, Substance, Vainqueur, Johannes Volk, Funk D Void, Dave Tarrida, Sender Berlin, Kevin De Vries, Subjected and many more belongs in one of the oldest teams in the city of Athens
