Any of the tubes forming part of the blood circulation system of the body, carrying in most cases oxygen-depleted blood towards the heart.

A fracture in rock containing a deposit of minerals or ore and typically having an extensive course underground.

It comes in a few different forms. The most common is a fine, white powder. It can also be made into a solid rock crystal.

Most users snort the white powder into their nose. Some rub it onto their gums or dissolve it in water and inject it with a needle. Others heat up the rock crystal and breathe the smoke into their lungs.

This nature deep listening immersion was created through sonically mapping the land at Waking Life. The sounds of the ecosystem are overlayed with sounds of the human body, as well as spoken word that was translated into 14 different languages from around the globe. 

The text comes from The Emerald Podcast’s episode: “Enchanted Lands: Remembering the Holy Hum Between Person and Place”, and explores the importance of forming reciprocal relationships to place through practicing listening and song. 

It was presented as a serenade to the land at Waking Life at Tudo Bem over the Summer Solstice, 2024.
