The Assignment: Record the final third of a trio.

I just wanted to play bass on something because it felt like it had been a while since I picked up my bass.  The third part of this project always felt like the right time for basslines too.  I don't really like when the low end is panned hard left or right to be honest.  It feels unbalanced to me.  Anyway, Torpid and Coraline's beautiful piece from last week really stuck out to me so it was an easy choice.  I liked writing counter point to Torpid's fills at the end of the measure.  Hope I didn't funk it up too much

Suss Müsik has been traveling a lot lately. Thus is the nature of having to work for a living, a privileged state that appears to be accelerating toward some form of extinction. That’s probably a gripe for another Junto project.

On a recent trip to a U.S. city not to be named, Suss Müsik captured this strangely bucolic view outside the hotel window. Look closely, and you’ll see evidence of gentrification in the urban landscape: a new corporate housing unit dominates the left side of the image, obscured by a rich envelope of foliage. There appears to be some sort of mosque in the background, perhaps representing one of the orthodox faiths, next to what might be a church steeple. A rustic brick dwelling sits confidently where it was built some 300 years ago. Just beyond that is a budget hotel and what is likely a corporate office building, both filled to half-capacity.

The intention of Suss Müsik’s sonic interpretation was to demonstrate this weirdly haunting mashup: a blend of classical ‘old world’ architecture residing in an environment of aggressively digital commercialization. It is a scene where progress is measured in glass panels, beige is the new brown, innovation is temporal, and humans interaction relies on the conductivity of elemental particles. If you can imagine the setting of a Milan Kundera story retold through a series of YouTube Shorts, that’s sort of the vibe this image presents. 

This piece for cello, violin, piano, and electronics was recorded quickly to TASCAM 8-track. It is dedicated to Marc Weidenbaum and all participants of the Disquiet Junto community. Here’s to 700 chapters and counting.

The 700th Week of Disquiet Junto! 
Just after lunch I read this weeks challenge and was looking at my computer the window directly ahead of me! I snapped the photo and decided to record out the window for about 10 minutes. 
You don't see much from my window, a green fence / shed with a defunct biomas unit inside, part of my car is visable. The windows are quite dirty, there are trees at the top of the photo. 
I live in a rural spot, nothing about expect fields and trees and I was drawn to the addiotnal line of info 'Brief can be neighborly'  - As I have no neighbours I wanted the field recording to be central and the wind was nice but I put some effects on these sounds and just started to play around with notes and keys until this nice slow track took shape.  There is a nice airplane about 2 minutes in.  I was looking out the window all afternoon as I made this, watching the leaves and branches swaying away!

Я с этой «музыкой» жёстко задрочился, пока занимался созиданием: вся экономика рухнула, а коровы начали летать. И знаете что? Меня это совсем не удивило. Бывают вещи, которые просто случаются, и ничего тут не поделаешь. Так что всем любителям летающих коров и нелюбителям экономики советую к прослушиванию. Собака. Птица. Ящик!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Концептуально альбом начинается с моего перерождения. «Шоттоснаррюку» — моё новое я: ещё хрупкое, но прекрасное. Все остальные треки и стихи — это вскрытие моих гнойничков и душевных излишков. Так уж вышло, что, чтобы мне полегчало, я вынужден сблевать. Я не верю, что моя блевотина способна кого-нибудь тронуть или впечатлить. Впрочем, это неважно, ведь сблевать для меня жизненно необходимо. Но если так вышло, что ты слушаешь это, — так прошу же тебя: будь смелее, всмотрись в эту лужу: в ней кусочки моей поебанной жизни.
