I made this song for my dog Sebastian some time after he died. I think it was around 2021. The picture was from much earlier, around 2016. He was a good friend. That day, we were at a park and I got tired, so I went to rest underneath this shelter. My wife and our other dog Lady had gone on ahead, and he walked out there with them a bit, but then came back and we sat for a while. It felt like a special moment, so I took this picture. I'm glad for the good times we had. No matter what happens, we can be glad for what we had together.

I really wanted to try and make a soul song that would be "northern soul danceable" so some lyrics and melodies popped into my head and the idea for this project was born. The lyrics come straight from my stressed out heart - driving in the UK is like this. I wish more people were considerate towards each other on the road as this selfish behaviour causes many dangerous situations and even fatal crashes. 
I used a suitable beat to make a start and Morten was happy to be involved and created a brilliant backing track (after multiple drafts that saw improvement step by step). And as the icing of a cake, Jörg came along and added his wonderful brass to uplift the song's energy further. Thank you for this lovely collab again!

" Praise ye the Lord" is an Air form Georg Friedrich Handel's oratorio "Solomon", written in 1748.
The anonymous libretto is currently thought to have been written by the English Jewish poet/playwright Moses Mendes. It is based on the biblical stories of the wise king Solomon from the First Book of Kings and the Second Book of Chronicles.
