Toebow is a psych-pop party illustrated from the collective inner goofs of a close group of friends. The project was born in Brooklyn as a guitar duo, evolving and expanding over the years into a formidable high-energy quintet. Described by one reviewer as “a nice dose of shapeshifting, complex art pop” (Brooklyn Vegan), the music of Toebow shimmers with fluttering distorted guitar lines, colorfully layered percussion and bass, twinkling synth lines, and the occasional four part vocal harmony to tie the gentle chaos neatly together. Wacky by nature but severe in execution, Toebow "artfully straddles the border between sincerity and goofiness” (ThrdCoast) yet their songs often confront the more stoic and somber realms of human experience. 

Toebow's founding members met during a stint playing in BOBBY (formerly of Partisan records) and quickly established their sound as a unique force in the NYC indie music scene. Since their inception, the band has had members in common with Zula, Peel Dream Magazine, Dirty Projectors and ensemble, et al.

Explosive sets, electronic-instrumental crossover, funky and eclectic sounds: The worldly cosmopolitan living in Vienna, Ulf Lindemann aka [dunkelbunt] who as DJ, soloist, producer and bandleader has set out a genuinely transglobal musical agenda and for over 15 years has been one of Europe's most innovative leaders of the electronic and world music scenes.
Whatever the pulse of the current club music scene that inspires the DJ, the composer transforms it with his international band into contemporary musical statements about how WORLD | MUSIC sounds today: 15 languages on stage, transglobal sounds from oriental to western merge with electronic beats to form an intelligent and energetic mix and guarantee a passionate live experience.

History:
[dunkelbunt] has been a pioneer of the „Balkan Beat“ and „Electro Swing“ genres since 2001 . His international breakthrough came with the Balkan-Hip Hop single „The Chocolate Butterfly“ ft. Raf Camora (2003) and the Electro Swing follow up hit „Cinnamon Girl“ (2007). The album „Mountain Jumper“ (2015) was awarded the ORF „Album of the Year 2015“. [dunkelbunt] + Band is an internationally booked live act in the genres of „World“, „Global“, „Club“, „Balkan Beats“, „Electro Swing“.

This is a page inspired by the artist Richard D. James, more specifically, his work on the Rephlex Records label, unreleased/rare releases, and the album he released under the alias “The Tuss”, called “Rushup Edge.” Leading up to this official release, there were multiple MySpace pages said to be accounts belonging to The Tuss. At this point in 2023, it is still unclear how much of these Tuss accounts Rich was involved in… the only confirmed RDJ Tuss material are the aforementioned “Rushup Edge”, and the ep the preceded it, called “Confederation Trough”.

This page also focuses heavily on the “SoundCloud Dump”, which was a series of releases uploaded to a number of anonymous accounts on SoundCloud that eventually became clear to the world to be Richard. It is an astonishing amount of material - spanning his entire artistic career. They eventually were taken down by his record label, but there are a number of folks that compiled each track in a zip archive and can be downloaded for free to this day on archive.org. 

Though this page is dedicated to and inspired by Aphex Twin - I came to a turning point with where to take this page. The main goal is to promote. In other words,  to provide a place online for fans of Aphex Tain to easily stream the best of their favorite artist, as well as showing younger fans of electronic music who I believe is the greatest electronic musician. 

I’ve also uploaded various tracks from a few other artists that are either collaborators, influencers or those influenced by Aphex Twin. You will find some original DJ mixes done by me and some straight up “mixtape” style hour long tracks arranged by and mastered by me. 

I do not profit in any way from this monetarily speaking, but I do get a lot out of seeing the comments and the joy that the songs uploaded bring about, and archives are important.
