Colliding Blizzard

Mon coeur est un violon

There are times in our lives when we yearn for simplicity; when things seem to overwhelm. After [and continuing] ill-health and hospitals, I have felt this need for simplicity, especially after not being able to play the piano for some time, my love and therapy.

I missed it so much; being here; listening to you all, and creating. ……and once again, some dear friends, Milco (The Flute Whisperer) https://soundcloud.com/milco-huisman…. Erik (Melotone) https://soundcloud.com/kiresivat ..  and The Subwave Network, UK https://soundcloud.com/the-subwave-network….. gave me so much, with encouragement and motivation. 

Thus, I woke in the middle of the night, with no ideas, just a need to get to my piano and try to get my feelings out 

It is a simple piece to reflect that need and yearning for simplicity, and which is reflected in the title. I felt sorrow, yet soothed.

I needed to do this, not only for myself, but also for some close friends undergoing some difficulties, and others too, who desire a moment of simplicity in their lives; to forget for awhile the burdens we all experience from time to time.

Please excuse any errors, being an improvisation, and I am hoping to get strong enough to be back online more often than I have recently.

I have missed so many of you and your music so much xx

Change of Season was an undecided song in the program of the album.  I had originally planned to record the song with a different arrangement.  However it was far to busy, too “in the way” of what the albums intent was.  It was almost chucked, but decided to try another version, the one you’re hearing.  Perhaps live I’ll do the ‘unrecorded’ version.  Or, maybe a b-sides.  Ya just never know.
