Harry Potter Music Indian Tribute | Indian Jam Project

A young boy was brought into the world of music when his parents bought him his first guitar at the age of 11. He went through a magical journey of listening to great composers like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach, Franz Liszt, Allah Rakha Rahman, Ilaiyaraaja and the great Manayangath Subramanian Viswanathan. In this beautiful process, he realized many things and understood many emotions. He understood how powerful music was as a form of language. Understanding this, he attempted to express himself with a song. Here is the result. This is the first piece I have composed. Its a very simple piece, but I hope it captures the essence of the emotion I’m trying to portray. Please let me know your frank opinions :) .

Technically the piece was heavily inspired from both “My heart will go on” and “Nefeli”. I used the same chord pattern as the titanic masterpiece, and I used a song structure similar to Enuadi’s Nefeli. I can pass the midi for those who are interested.

The credit for inspiring me to compose this piece goes to a lot of people. The great modern composers (Enuadi, Zimmerman, Illiyaraaja, Rahman), My friend Anand who actually gave the push and the tons of people I miss in the world who gave me the content to write this song. Being away from people who you love is a feeling that is very hard to describe in words. In a perfect world I would love to have all my relatives and friends at a stone’s throw and not miss them :) .

Where no fear exists,
Where there is no darkness.
I see HOPE, I see LIGHT.
Everything around is so bright.
One wonders what place this is?
Is this a place for all mankind?
The voices in the night whisper,
They tell you about dreams,
When you shut your eyes,
And ask your heart,
Where all the pureness lies,
You hear it once, you hear it twice,
You can hear it anytime.
It’s a place within us,
A place to reach out for,
A place for all mankind.

So many years of life, lived,
And still many more to go.
Dreaming of various things,
Some common, Some strange,
Some great and some handy.
But certain dreams,
endure in both heart and mind.
These extraordinary dreams become,
The biggest HOPE of life – one's mission.
Fulfillment completes life,
while failure leaves the heart broken.
But those dreams that are lived,
with sweat and passion never fail.
Love dreams as you have never loved anything before
And LIVE it as no one would live it.
