Moldy Beats is a vinyl appreciation & grass roots events production group based in Nanaimo B.C.*** Mold (DJ/Producer/Musician) heads the organization with collaborative support from GrownAssPpL, the Vancouver based sister group. After two decades of playing in dub, reggae, afrobeat, dubstep, gypsy and latin jazz projects in small underground scenes throughout Mexico, Canada and the U.K , Mold is now dedicated to sharing forgotten gems that prove good music is timeless...leaving behind the constant obsession for "what's new, whats hot", Mold weaves together vinyl sets, remixes, mash-ups and originals that draw from classic instrumental breaks, jungle/d&b, hip hop, old school dubstep, dub, deep house, world music & experimental beat oddities... he stays true to traditional DJ techniques and often incorporates live instruments, voice and performing arts into his sets.

DJ U-CAN is a music producer from Japan. Loves traveling physically or spiritually and keep creating with the inspiration by those image and feeling. Has collaborated with the unique artists around the world such as Jazzy Ivy (Zulu Nation, Korea), Seven Star (Botanica Del Jibaro, US), NAGAN SERVER (Mono Adaptor, Japan), Wukir Suryadi (Senyawa, Indonessia) covering deep and diverse range from electronic to world music. 

Currently, he produced soundtracks for the audiovisual performance/exhibition which won the Best Comprehensive Art Prize on the 1st Cloud Stage Award (TW), also nominated for the 19th Taishin Arts Award (TW), National Art Exhibition 2021 (TW), and Aesthetica Art Prize (UK). Its derivative works such as his 1st full album “離人 Ribito” were ranked in the iTunes Top 20 albums in Taiwan and exhibited at National Taichung Theater (TW), The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (TW), York Art Gallery (UK), and many more.
