The Biscuit Situation began life in the historic cinque-port, Dover, in 2002/3.  Two young chaps had been recording absurd songs onto a dictaphone for a year or so. Over some tea and biscuit based exchanges they found themselves with a third creative spirit and progressed to recording more ludicrous songs through a sub £5 microphone.  In due course one biscuit member surprised the others, announcing he had got the Biscuit Situation a support slot at a rowdy pub in Deal.  The Biscuit Situation called up two friends to offer drum and bass themed accompaniment. The Biscuit Situation played their one and only pop concert spectacular to a room of rough working class types.  Over the years the Biscuit Situation members went their separate way and learnt basic life skills, but very occasionally they would meet - rarely as a three - and play through the back catalogue.  The recordings here are mostly songs written around 2003, but recorded 2011-12 in a bedroom with practically no proper recording equipment, and no actual knowledge of how to record properly. These songs are played for the pleasure of the Biscuit Situation, but should you be passing through you might have your ears tickled by our meagre efforts.

Café Seven, the new album from System 7’s Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy mixes 5 tracks from their chill-out project Mirror System with 5 more up tempo System 7 tunes, and features a System 7 collaboration with Marcus Henriksson (Minilogue / Son Kite) on ‘Million Suns' and a Mirror System collaboration with Ajja on ‘Smooth Operator’.  The album also features some high profile remixes by Steve and Miquette including Sudo’s 'Sensation (System 7 remix)’  and Joujouka’s ‘And Justice Killed  (System 7 remix)’ and a Mirror System remix of Six Degrees Records artists The Delia Derbyshire Appreciation Society on ‘Cloudface’.

X-Port - the latest album release of System 7 - presenting a unique combination of techno and trance beats and live musicianship. On October 16th 2015 A-Wave Records simultaneously released the full power System 7 X-Port album and the more chilled Mirror System album titled N-Port. This ambitious release plan celebrates the 21 year anniversary of System 7’s seminal Fire and Water dual albums, and presents the full range of Hillage and Giraudy’s work in the field of electronica.

SYSTEM 7's previous release - the Passion EP - really hits the spot, showing that in 2013 they remain on top of their game with their unique blend of trance and techno.

The most recent full System 7 album UP (released May 2011) tips the balance a bit in a more techno and tech house direction, still showcasing the unique System 7 sound with ultra modern production and a feeling of positivity. The album was inspired by time spent in Berlin. The club single, taken from UP, is PositiveNoise, a collaboration with Berlin-based A Guy Called Gerald, and features a new deep techno remix from Carl Craig and a powerful remix from Japanese techno star A.Mochi. PositiveNoise also has great new Japanese animation video clip

SYSTEM 7’s Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy have had a strong influence on the birth of psychedelic dance music and it’s journey up to the present, forging a unique and bang up-to-date identity on the genre map, in a space where techno, progressive and trance meet – with a healthy side-element of unique quality ambient chill which is connected and reflected in their sister project Mirror System. 

Since the beginning of the 90s System 7 projects have been marked by a series of high powered collaborations, working with Detroit luminaries Derrick May and Carl Craig, Laurent Garnier, The Orb, Jam El Mar, Son Kite among others. System 7’s club singles have had outstanding remixes from the likes of Plastikman, James Holden and Dubfire, whose mix of Space Bird was number one on Beatport’s main chart for 2 weeks in 2008.

Neil Sparkes is a musician, music producer, poet and visual artist.

Founder member of Temple of Sound and formerly Transglobal Underground, Sparkes has performed on international stages across the globe on the frontline of world music, dance and dub. 

Vocalist and percussionist with Transglobal Underground with whom he toured the World from 1992 to 1996; Neil Sparkes appeared on all of TGU's commercially successful albums for Nation Records and Sony. 

Sparkes has worked with Peter Gabriel, Natacha Atlas, The Stranglers, Jah Wobble, Dick Heckstall-Smith, Los De Abajo, Batucada Sound Machine, Rizwan-Muazzam Qawwali (grandnephews of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan), Adrian Sherwood, Hossam Ramzy, Zion Train and Linton Kwesi Johnson amongst many others. 

Neil's music has been used by fashion designers Ferragamo and Valentino for their catwalk shows and by advertisers such as Pilot Pens and Adobe. Neil has contributed towards many feature film soundtracks and has composed and produced incidental music for features on BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky Sports as well as numerous licenses around the globe. 

Neil Sparkes literary work includes several collections of poetry published by Billy Childish's Hangman Books. As a poet he has read and performed widely in the UK, Europe and Internationally at clubs, festivals, colleges and universities as well as numerous appearances on radio and television.
Neil's long term collaboration with legendary UK saxophonist Dick Heckstall-Smith is featured on the CD and book "Grandchildren of Albion" (New Departures). Sparkes has developed a series of unique collaborations with Jazz and World musicians alongside his poetry and performances.

Starting work in the spring of 2008, Local Hero, Lady Foursquare, Angel Alanis and additional contributors including 12th Planet (of Cartel, Renegade Hardware, Tech Itch) and more released a remix album of Portishead's "Third" called, "Third Floor: Portishead’s ‘Third’ Reimagined by Noise Floor Crew." Media such as New York Magazine (who heralded NFC in the same breath as Outkast, Three-Six Mafia and My Morning Jacket), Big Shot Magazine, Raveline, Iheartcomix, Urbnet, Confront Magazine and others praised the album roundly. The singles peppered dozens of prominent radio shows, including Josh Wink's BBC Radio-1 Essential Mix and Dave Clarke's White Noise Radio. Shortly after the departure of Alanis, Noise Floor Crew, now comprised of Foursquare and Local Hero completed a remix for Justice ("Stress or Justice") which was re-edited by Boys Noize. Noise Floor Crew now joins the production team for DJ Pierre's full length album, due in 2011 as well as upcoming releases on Acid Jack's Idiot House and their home label, Dust Traxx. In various projects, crew members have produced remixes for the aforementioned Justice, Simian Mobile Disco, Dizee Rascal, Lauren Flax w/ Sia, Greenskeepers, DJ Donna Summer and many others. In 2010, they will continue to release remixes and originals on labels such Dust Traxx, Uni.form, Idiot House, Play Me Records and Nightshifters.
