Bio | Nick V, Fondateur du label Mona Musique et curateur des compilations House Of Riviera, Nick V est un DJ parisien dont la réputation n’est plus à établir dans la capitale. 
Né à Manchester, il fait partie de la House culture de la première heure. DJ depuis 1994, d'abord au légendaire club Le Queen, il enchaîne de mythiques résidences dans la capitale et notamment La Mona, soirée qu’il a fondé il y a 15 ans autour de la House music et l’énergie positive de la danse.
Depuis bientôt 30 ans Nick V joue toujours avec la même passion intacte, celle de faire vibrer le public sur les pistes de danse !

Ace night out last Friday at Le Sacré with the man Marcel Vogel who play a killer set. They will be up soon on the Lumberjacks in Hell soundcloud for you to check out.
Also I really loved what they have done with the sound system there. It's not easy to have loud and clear sound in an urban situation where neighbours are living next door, so hats off to the tech guys responsible for the sound there aka David Rousseau and whole Sacré team. To cut a long story short they managed to make the sound feel louder in the club (including low end) without raising sound levels ouside for the neighbours. The club is slightly smaller as a consequence but the result brilliant. Well done guys!

Late night antics between 330 and 530 am from Daniel Wang and @NickV at La Mona in December 2014. Two one hour long vinyl galore dj sets, first from Daniel Wang, then NickV, constantly crossing over with panache from House to Disco territory, complete with rapping, scratching, open mic action, an end of night soul train all in the very intense settings of La Java, the previous venue for our residency in Paris.

Artist Info:
Manchester born Nick V was living in the Northern England city in his formative years during the rise and subsequent explosion of Acid House music in the UK, a period of his life which laid the foundations for what has now become a fruitful career across the past three decades in electronic music.

Since his arrival in France back at the tail end of the 80’s Nick has become an integral part of the Parisian scene, holding many residencies over the years at some of the cities most respected clubs and showcasing his broad spectrum of styles, as a DJ, record collector and crate digger. Nick’s sound traverses through disco, deep techno, broken beat, boogie and dance floor jazz whilst keeping house music at the core of everything he does. 

His Mona events, which he describes as a ‘’dance culture party’’ and has been running since 2008, exploring the relationship between dance and electronic music. Amongst this he’s also heading up the affiliated Mona Musique, a vinyl only imprint which stands as a platform for him to release the authentic house sounds he’s become known for. With such an impressive history in house it’s no wonder Nick V has become a highly respected name in contemporary electronic music, with many more exciting projects in the pipeline and a passionate dedication to his work he’ll no doubt remain so for many years to come.
