Welcome to the launch of the Monday Monday Podcast! 

Monday Monday is a popular music series held at the world famous HOTEL CAFE in Hollywood, CA. Founded by Joel Eckels in 2013, the showcase night has featured 10 artists every week playing 3 song sets in a carefully curated mix of talent that has included Phoebe Bridgers, JP Saxe, Theo Katzman, Chris Pierce, Rett Madison, Madison Cunningham, Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams to name a few. Monday Monday is known as a gathering place for up and coming songwriters to find each other, build community and hone their skills.

This new podcast, hosted by Joel Eckels features some of the stand-out talent from the Los Angeles music community sharing the songs that inspired them in their music journey. Our pilot episode features one of our all time favorites, Casey Abrams. We talk about the upright bass, Tenacious D, American Idol, jazz and all of the eclectic influences that shaped Casey Bassey.
