He is also half part of Rush City which is his b-side project as producer alongside his label mate Jonahlo. In december 2017 he put out his frst official release as Joint4Nine with 7th Chords, Cigarettes & Rum” on Nómada Records and In 2019; since there He has been relesing music constanty on labels such as Ondulé Recordings, Broken District, Fate And Fiction Recordings, Sengiley Recordings, GLBDOM, Forbbiden cutz, Sundries, Apparel Music, Apparel Wax, Masterworks Deep Cutz, Morris Audio All Being Here, Berlin House Music, Inhale & Exhale, Back Door Records and Blur Records. He loves the old school and eclectic sound from 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, so you will find on his productions and dj sets a heavy influence y House, Deep House, Techno, Tribal, Disco, Pfunk, Jazz, Hip Hop, Acid House Broken Beats, Dance Punk, Afro and Highlife.

Utrecht duo Fouk (@justsayfouk) have emerged from the new wave of Dutch house and disco artists like Detroit Swindle and Nachtbraker, in no small part thanks to the former’s Heist Recordings. Through there and other avenues like their own @Outplay label, House Of Disco Recordings and Razor-N-Tape Reserve, they have pushed their patchwork of grooves with great success over the last couple of years. With a knack for crafting infectious keys solos and sourcing the most pleasing of analog synth sounds, they have made themselves known for an assured, highly musical sound.

*How would you describe your sound?*

Warm house music with a lot of soul and funk. We aim to make people smile with our music. :)

*What and who inspires you and influences your sound?*

The dreaded question! In general jazz, funk and disco from the ‘70s / ‘80s. It’s always hard to give a specific answer to this. But our tastes are pretty varied and we can get inspired by good art, great nights out playing and fun with friends; relaxation and fun feeds creativity. Also we get inspired by others in the genre of course — it’s inevitable! 

*Can you tell us a little about this mix and what it means to you?*

It’s mainly music we made this year, sort of an end of year compilation. Also a couple of unreleased tracks from us. There’s a lot of new stuff coming up next year, but wasn’t ready to share with you just yet ;)
