Tremulous Dreams

I wrote the music for this in 2006 while recovering from a quadruple bypass. It was layered up with my midi guitar. I don't even remember how many instruments. The words didn't come, just the title and a few thoughts here and there. But then, today, some ideas did percolate and I bade AI help me and it produced this. (after a couple of false starts-lol) Hope you like it. Seems topical to me. ;)

There was a radio station in Dallas called KZOM that was bought out in the 80s and began implementing automated DJs. THIS is where the downfall of rock music can be traced because the new owners preferred a particular sound. This is why you got so many "Creed" clones in the 90s (which were really just Eddy Vedder bands) until Nickleback saturated the market so much that it died a miserable death.

Cynical Publius on X wrote a thread about the differences between generations from my generations view. It struck me when I read it that a phrase from the thread was a song lyric. So I finally figured it out and this is it.

A cover of yet another old idea. This one from 2005. It is much edgier than the original. I like it. Just realized this is also a break up song but from the girls perspective. Cool.

Sort of the partner to A Mile Away, written during a breakup, aren't the best songs always derived from that? lol It's trippy on purpose. As per usual.

If you're a woman does this song say anything you have felt before? Hope so. It was written for a friend that is getting up and dusting herself off and will do it again.
