Old'sKool is my take on 90s jungle and drum & bass, this album is full of breaks & beats with different paces and styles throughout - more than just amen breaks & 808s. Featuring influences ranging from soul, jazz and funk to TV shows I was watching at the time and random personal audio recordings.

This album reflects how I see the world, how my brain works and I hope it paints a picture for how emotive and unusual music can be. Thanks to the countless tunes that have inspired me and for the people who enjoy this culture too. Peace.

About the Mix:

A steady hour and a half going through various epochs and styles of both techno and house, the duo brings you through a journey into the minimal, the dub, the progressive, the tribal, and much more. Wencat’s new fangled obsession for James Holden’s influential style of progressive house is apparent in this mix, while Jade’s continued interest in techno and house heavy hitters continues to deepen and mature, keeping the groove locked and steady.

For them, this mix represents the culmination of years of friendship and evolving musically, first together, then separately.

About the DJs:

First meeting at END fest back in 2022, Jade and Wencat have since formed a friendship deeply important to both their personal lives and their musical careers. Both having attuned their DJing skills together back in the YOTA DJ academy, they had spent their early years digging together everyday at the gym.

Over the years they have branched out and filled different niches, but when they come back and b2b oncemore, you can feel the impact and joy they both have being behind the decks together.

Taylor is also the host of Super Best, a monthly radio show on Subtle Radio that showcases distinctive and lesser-known dance music.
