This is then balanced with a melodic sweetness that captivates your ear with hypnotic subtle changes in the background. On the B side is Neshama - with a skipping rhythm groove, tense emotional strings & pads that hold you in the air and constantly fill you with warm emotion and a sense of lifting off.

Exclusive: Nicolas Duque - Thumb Stopper (Italia 93 Mix)

Nuances de Nuit, Lucie's and T. Jacques' label for modern Electronic music dance floor aesthetics, is back with another edition of their eponymic V/A series. The seventh volume include contributions from DJOKO, Mitch Wellings, Occibel and Bogota-based artist Nicolas Duque. Latter delivers, as the track title may suggest already, the most Italo-Disco take of the EP, which goes by the name of Thump Stopper (Italia 93 Mix) and captures the vibe of an early or as the press-text states 'an obscure 94 Italian record.' Thump Stopper has a repetitive inriguing synth hook-line, includes little scratches and even backspins, vocal samples that complement the track's elements and create an overal harmonic vibe that makes the track the perfect match for any set-time to be played out.

Nuances de Nuit Vol. 7 will be released on Nuances De Nuit in September 2021.

Null Acht Fünfzehn, a German expression pointing out how average or mediocre something is. Not worth mentioning let's say.. which is an exact contradiction of what they have done with their brand new EP.

Consisting of members from Brigade and Kahl & Kamaena, this Berlin threesome hooked up 2 years ago and used their time to perfect the art of creating subtle music with maximum efficiency.

Although they may present it as somewhat underwhelming and not too serious, what these three buddies have to offer is nothing less than impressive. Slowed down, ghostly yet truly effective electronic work that's ready to fog up the dance floor.

On top of that, this EP is accompanied by two terribly efficient and different remixes. YokoO heads up the dubby techno path, while Blindsmyth goes for the jugular with a stripped and clubbed out rendition of the single track Null Acht Fünfzehn.

Release thirty-seven follows up the recently released Nostalgia del Presente EP from Argentinian producer Polo with a formidable remix package. Two versions of Nostalgia del Presente are on offer, from progressive house heavyweights Danny Howells and Jim Rivers, two producers with decades of experience under their belts. Each has crafted a unique reworking that pushes the track in a new direction, with darker shades and late night edge. On the deeper end of the spectrum, YokoO and Edmonson offer housier interpretations of Ultramar, both with playful grooves and a healthy helping of shuffle.
