Back in the 00's Rocky Goode and Kirlian Blue decided to form an act called The Thought Criminals. With the help of a Dance Producer Tony Messenger and mixer Rob Henry they pulled of their first album. The duo built up quite a cult following over the following years. Headlining very well known and famous London (UK) live venues such as The Mass, The Hope And Anchor, The Underworld, The Dublin Castle, Goldsmiths College, and The 333 Club!  2011 Danny Fades joined the band on Bass.

The Thought Criminals from day one have blended the styles of Dark Early 80's Electronic music with modern Alternative Dance music. The Thought Criminals are influenced by acts such as The Prodigy, Ultravox, Gary Numan, John Foxx, Cabaret Voltaire, Front 242 ,The Sex Pistols, Covenant and last but not least Soft Cell. The Vocals are a unique style of tongue and cheek from the streets of South London. 

The Thought Criminals are proudly a self manufactured act. Created by Kirlian Blue and given its balls by its front man Rocky Goode. They had no style guru's or Malcolm McClaren’s to help them. They don’t claim to be Talented Musicians, but they do claim to be Performers with very strong Musical Ideas, Lyrics, Originality and Direction.

Over the years The Thought Criminals have featured on about 15 CD Compilations and several digital ones. The band have released several Digital Singles "Suicide Bomber" (2006) and "I Wanna Be A Celebrity" (2007), "All The Freaks"(2008) and one album "Die Young : Stay Pretty" (2007).

DJ Rascal ... A Living Legend ♔

DJ Rascal was one of the most emblematic DJ's of his generation and one of the most successful technically in France during the closing decades of the 20th Century. In 1988 he became Luxembourg Champion and Vice European champion next year in 1989, and then participated in the DMC technical Championship French final for the world championships no fewer than 10 times between 1988 and 2000.
He was also a pioneer in many areas of DJing. He invented the concept of "boys band turntablism" - team
scratching concept - in 1990 with a first show at the Hourtin military base (France) a full year before the first appearance of Q-Bert in a U.S. TV show in 1991. Though Q-bert is remembered as the inventor of that style, he is not and it is time to render unto Caesar what is Caesar's.

DJ Rascal was also one of the first to self-produce an After Hip-Hop & New Jack mixtape on Cd in 1997-98. Up until then K7 had been the dominant format employed. The production of a 24 minute mix After
Hip-Hop composed solely of breakbeats, intros, interludes and scratching helped to bring a unique
atmosphere to the scene at that time.

But above all, his greatest strength is his ability to adapt to any type of music programming as well as
animation shows. His 45 years of experience spinning in clubs, with and without micro-animation, combined with his sharp festive programming, and impeccable technique, make of him a complete DJ able to play any style – House, Techno, Lounge, Chillout, Acid Jazz, Soul, Funk, Disco, Rap / Hip-Hop, R'n'B, French or international variety, etc.

It would take too much space here to review the career of DJ Rascal in full, but if we were to summarize a few highlights, then we would certainly keep in mind the hundreds of scratch demonstration shows, concerts, entertainment & nightlife clubs in France, Belgium, Luxembourg , Spain, Switzerland, etc. There were also countless radio and TV shows, not to mention that he was one of the pioneers of Hip-Hop and DJing in the late 80's along with DJs such as DJ Dee-Nasty. He helped democratize Hip-Hop and the art of DJing in France with MC’s including Destroy Man and Johnny Go, Lionel D, as well as others too numerous to name.
He is considered as one of the most respected DJ's of his time.

Still, his story is not finished ...
DJ Rascal plays on, and will continue to do so as we dream into the future.

I am Aleister Tennyson Hobbs the lead vocalist and guitarist for the band the Dead Sea Surfers. We have been recording music on and off for about 8 years now with a little break when i moved to NYC in 2004 and played keyboards for the band Dead Emotion for about 1 year. The other band members were Charles Cudd, the imfamous Kitty Hawke and Danny Crusher. We had a blast. But my own project has always been front and center “Dead Sea Surfers” The two Compilation cd’s we are on that I am most proud of are the 2 associated with the UK’s “Unscene Magazine” a very excellent quality mag based on the UK underground goth Scene and the new original goth bands. We were on the CD’s available with ISSUE 7 and ISSUE 9 our songs tiphereth and funhouse.

We were also included in the book “Music To Die For” Written by Mick Mercer I would say is the undisputed authority on the subject of the gothic Subculture based in the UK. He has been writing articles and Books about the gothic Subculture since the 1980’and we were lucky enough to be put on his Mick 50 Master List.

Anyway we will be getting back to work later this year as I rap up my rehab from chemo and radiation therapy after being diagnosed with head and throat Cancer in late 2010. Hopefully the Cancer will stay in a remissive state.
