Sian and Sacha Robotti join forces under their exciting and illusive alias Third Culture for their second release of 2022. After releasing the minimal, electro-funk, and sinister vocals single ‘Into The Dark’ - we see that trend continue with the single ‘Eyes Closed’. Collabing with Sacha, Sian adds: “I’d been really into Sacha’s DJ sets and unusual sounds for a while, I’d seen him go from old school Belgian rave to chill broken beat tracks without any hesitation and without any interruption of the dancefloor.” 

He also adds: “We hung out a bunch and talked many hours about the European rave scene roots that inspired us - to be eclectic, fearless, and seeking a new sound, which led to our new bunch of tracks, and "Eyes Closed” as a single”. 

The track, “Eyes Closed” is a warped synth work, rolling bass with eerie vox effects that make this track a standout production. Minimal yet chuggy, “Eyes Closed” retains a warm and groovy element with its bass.

Premiere: Third Culture "Eyes Closed" - Octopus

For the fifth and final single in advance of his “Trip to Sanity” album, Oliver Koletzki teams up with a true heavyweight of the scene – the techno-pop-legend that is Fritz Kalkbrenner. The result, “Heart on Hold”, marries Kalkbrenner’s unmistakable vox and emotive lyrics with Koletzki’s punchy production, lacing atmospheric synths through a brooding bass-line and driving beat.

Bulgarian allrounder Pavel Petrov and Stil vor Talent faves Hidden Empire each then bring their own unique touch to “Heart on Hold” by way of two contrasting remixes. While Petrov uses Fritz’s vocals sparingly on-top a flexing electro-acid workout, Hidden Empire give a masterclass in tension-and-release dynamics with their trance-inducing reinterpretation. Fitting for a plethora of dance floor moods, this EP will make hearts beat faster.

Our family member Deniz Bul is back with his "STILL SERIOUS EP" that includes two brandnew tracks.

The A-side "STILL SERIOUS" can be considered a striking representation of our label's musical direction with its vigorous drums and bassline on the one hand but also smart and beautiful scraps of
melody on the other hand. Home-made and bloody honest as we can expect it from Deniz as usual.

"BLACK SHEEP" takes up the A-side perfectly, however it comes around the corner with a more dramatic and hypnotic touch that demonstrates Deniz' multifaceted production skills.

Deniz, Deniz, Deniz, how come such a nice and humorous fella like you manages to continuously drop one hellishly deep, arse-kicking banger after another! Well, keep your recipe for yourself as long as
you won't stop doing what you do best.

Marius is a very talented DJ, producer and liveact from Berlin. Together with Sabura he created "Phoenix", a nice evolving melodic track with a lot of ear candy and an uplifting atmosphere. Swiss melodic master Khainz got his hands on the remix. He twisted the original into a dark pusher with bouncy percussive elements.
