With a diverse musical background she prefers everything from Old School Punk rock to classical era composures, from 90's alternative to 40's jazz, from Indian/Balkan to That deep kind of bass that penetrates you from the back of your eye sockets to deep in your sacrum.
Fusion. She loves her fusion.

Poetry and grace, mixed with live mashup, reworking and mixed tempo sets bending the perception of "genre" and blending sweet melody, dirty deep bass with a little "je ne sais quoi."

I spent three days in the historic and seriously haunted Panama Hotel; located in downtown Seattle.

The building is well over 100 years old and was declared a national historic building in 2006. 
The hallways are laden with peaceful Japanese spirits who seem serene, self-effacing and if anything pleased to be acknowledged.

Both my Partner and I had vivid dreams that were in all likelihood not our own; dreams that when retorted to each other were eerie in comparison.

On the final day I welcomed them in; asked them to hold space with me and was gifted a song from the deceased.

"Someday I will stray
So come take me
and we'll find us a way to be free
We'll find us a place
to compose and dispose
and we'll find a way to go home"

I dreamt of a tune, then lyrics followed. They were like none I have ever heard; I dreamt of colour but sunken eyed black and white figures fading in and out of reality; they urged me in my dream to find a pen.

I dreamt again; and continued to sing the same melody; over and over. I dreamt of something much older than the building or the spectres that inhabited it; and I felt its anger in my knowledge of the world here after...It was seething in hatred. It terrified me more than any nightmare of my own I could ever fathom conjuring.

These memories of children and families were not my own, neither was this song (despite the strange sense of nostalgia I felt and continue to feel whenever i hum it)...Nor was the face shifting fearsome creature that called out in wrathful fury when I obtained said precious souvenir. 
None of these were conceived by that of my mind, but it became adamant that it was not for me alone, that I was to share and expand.

I will do more in time; but for now here is the tune alone..... shared to you as it was shared to me.

"The Historic Panama Hotel built in 1910 by Sabro Ozasa, a Japanese Architect. Through the years it has served as a home for generations of Japanese immigrants, Alaskan fisherman and International travellers.

During WWII, many Japanese immigrants were being sent away to "Camp Hope". Made to leave their homes and belongings, they stored their things in the basement of the Panama Hotel. A great number of people never returned to claim their things. After years of the Panama Hotel being boarded up, it was finally sold to a new owner. Upon purchase, hundreds of trunks were found in the basement revealing a time capsule of sorts, as most of the items were never claimed and remain in the basement even today. But many think that in fact the immigrants have returned to claim their long lost belongings."

My words are still fruitless; my heart is still full; this chapter is closed.
I patiently await another; in the not so distant future. 


I came in as a lost soul
I left a human embodiment of a temple
from broken-down hero to halcyon guardian. 
I battled against the upstream winds only to find myself enraptured by the desert storm dancing through my performance.
The playa danced as we kicked up dust.
Blinded by her whiteness we moved and cavorted. 
Along with the deepness that resonated our carnal bodies, and the melody that drives our cosmic apotheosis.

In her I saw a love I never understood before; a love I gave to others but never turned inward, in her I started to comprehend unconditional self love; one that would turn me inside out and propel it outwards in a way I could have never fathomed before.
Now daylight I quickly and with spiritual affluence found my camp and slept soundly. Even in slumber my eyes had never been so open.
All this of which I had been holding on to; had been hurting me, it now had started to burn away.
I felt lighter."

Tiny footsteps, a solemn whisper of faith to come; a "with" without a wavered breathe, a breathe matched with each beat; a beat that ceases to halt in contempt of all logic and 
orthodox collapse
There is magic here, just look down; see the callused and bloodied soles leaving ephemeral indentation in their wake, 

And for now Dear Playa I bid you adieu; for a while I will be without your smell, your tumultuous moods and your delighting catership to every aspect that is me. I will see you again… perhaps in a while longer than we are used to.
