SAME Radio Show 290 With Steve Anderson & Phone Guest BlackWhyte

I just found this one back on an old cdr in my studio and thought I'd share it. It's an unreleased mix of The American Analog Set's "Gone To Earth" off their amazing "Know By Heart" album. I think I produced this about nine (!) years ago. Back then I did three remixes of songs off this album: "The Postman", "We're Computerizing" (both released on the AmAnSet's "Updates EP" and this one which has stayed firmly in the closet until now. AmAnSet singer Kenny would go on to guest on my "Nothing's Lost" album and even played in a Styrofoam live line-up for about five East Coast shows in November 2005. I think the Amanset guys might have found this one a little too dancey and that's why it didn't make the cut alongside the two other remixes. I remember clearly how I got to this remix. I didn't know the band at all back then but I really really loved the record and I emailed their label while it was playing on my turntable and before the first side of the vinyl had finished I had already received a reply from them saying they would love me to remix some songs. The rest is history, as they say.

We are delighted to welcome back Emergent veteran Tim Iron accompanied this time by Russia based artist Michael Mashkov, who we welcome for his debut here at Shores, to deliver a fantastic collaborative single. 

This superb track blends a catchy, funky melody with deep atmospheric elements and a dramatic breakdown leading into an energy-filled drop. 

Joining Tim and Michael on this release, and also making his Emergent Family debut, is Slovakia-based veteran artist Peter Illias. Peter adds an upbeat spin to the original, adding lovely vocal shots and a classic house organ to create an eminently danceable remix. 
 
Bringing the big guns with a breathtaking release here on Shores, this is Tim Iron & Michael Mashkov (with Peter Illias) and their outstanding new track “Cristiano”.

After a while away from the label, we proudly present a producer that has been one of our longest servers on the label as India bound Dextrose makes his way back “home” again and takes charge of the label this week as our headliner. Through this fantastic production “Horizon”, he makes all the right echoes again on the scene. It’s a dope production, packed with fantastic energy, rolling basslines and some serene melodic wonders that makes us go bonkers. We are as thrilled as ever to have him back, he’s been missed out by us. 

On remix duty we see a couple of returning artists that have been with us for a long time starting with US bound progressive artist Will Canas. This time, he puts a more house / deep house touch to his rework and we do feel it goes along really well with the original idea from Dextrose. It’s a bit more stripped down but packed with great energy and quirky melodic work to give the track a different taste. 

From Slovakia we see the return from the always creative duo behind Mark & Lukas. These guys have been with us for many years and we are always proud and happy to see them make their way back. This time they are delivering a superb remix of “Horizon” and as always they go creative with a superb selection of sounds. They are surely a duo known for details, warm moods and fantastic atmosphere in their production and they have absolutely nailed it once more through this one.
