The stars will weep for what can't be.

Is this reality settling in?
Or am I scared of what I think
you'll think when I say what I want.

Someone has to dare love lightly,

Wild Beast you,
and the storm that rages on.

The Wolves in me,
in league against the Lion
as my armor falls off.

I fed them lust,
desire unsatisfiable that burns in me.

Oh, Moon Deer.

I'm howling at the city lights, 
my cage is circumstance.
A mighty roar unanswered, 
a raging flare within the sun.

I'm burning ever higher,
would you like to see me dance?
Passionate self immolation, 
reckless and exciting.

When I'm done, pick up the ashes, 
smear them on your fur.
Draw figures on your thighs, 
draw the moon and draw the sun
reaching for what they can never have.

When we're back to... sort of normal?
This is how i think of us.  
Whispering, moaning at each other,
making blush the Sleeping Earth.

Wild Beast You

It was raining yesterday, it took me back.
Now the sun is coming out, I see my scars,
all the scathing words, the fear that paralyzed me
and the day I took my place, among you, kind souls.

What they called me, you sewed and made our flag,
it was the banner that sometimes we would gathered around.
When they said it, it would cut and bleed me dry,
but with love and wit, from you it was just so much fun.

They despised this side of me,
you were kind enough to bring it out
with careful recognition for the one inside
You my friends, you were the thing that kept me up.

I tear up, with gratitude and joy
thinking of the things I could not say.
Isolating out with you, made me feel safe.

Our train would never move, but still they were
the happiest moments yet that I had ever lived.
You were giants, mighty creatures, I was small.
Looking back, I wish I had the words, back then.

I will reach to all of you, I will remind you
of your greatness, of your kindness, wit and strength.
You were dragons, mighty creatures, flying with majesty, 
and you were kind enough to fly with me, a little bird.

I don't know what's wrong with me, 
it makes me tired
to behave like the other boys, 
I'm uninspired.

I wish I was like you.

it's trapped inside of you", you said,
"I know you're scared, 
but you can't hide your scent forever".

Now my body is turning  
into something I am not.
I'm terrified in here,
Will someone let me out?

I'm afraid to tell the ones who really matter.

I wish I was like you,
I wish I was like you, a pretty flower.

I'm the weakest knight without this suit of armor.
I'm growing up inside this cage of steel to take its shape .
I'm scared of it, but I'm not brave enough to take it off,
the other boys are just a whole lot scarier.

In this garden I was blessed the day I found you,
love, care, friendship and the tender touch I craved.
By then, already I could see your pretty feathers.
I even grew some myself, under your wings.

You watered what's in me and let it grow.
You kept my secrets only to yourself.
You scared away the serpents from these grounds.
It was the first time I felt safe to tell the truth.

Sister Moon, I wish I had the courage, back then,
to relish in the gentle light you shone.
I promise, never again to hide within the darkness.
Thanks to you, now I can be my own self.

You saw straight through my disguise and still you loved me.
You held my hand and gently helped me step outside.
I would heavily tread and stumble in this armor,
so you covered me and helped me take it off.

Half the world across but next to me.
Every time the night gets dark I think of you.
Your voice lives in my heart, it's part of me,
you are always by my side, faithful and true.
